Thanks
adamme .
Now, while we are dealing with this topic of comparisons, which I would like to rather divert into mutual admiration, rather than comparison, China has presently a singing show going on, where waves are big enough to spill over even to my normally not tuned in ears and eyes. There is a candidate called Dimash, who has range and a control and variety to his singing ability that will take him far, and that will certainly get him and Adam compared somewhere, once Adam is back in Asia again.
This guy is of Kazakhstan origin, and I am not clear which languages he sings just phonetically, and which he speaks, but presently his English and French covers are pronounciation-wise a mess, but with some training, this can be fixed. The vocal capabilities are there.
Here, starting at 9:30, is a cover of a Jacky Cheung song performed on the singing show. At the beginning, is a live version of the original, which is beautiful too, and then the second half is Dimash. Cut out the reality-TV drama, and it remains a very impressive vocal performance.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vm7inw9NE4He will still need to figure out, what to use when, he is still young, and the reality TV show format is not conducive to honing that. He has some songs that he made a mess out of imo out on the net. But this is a singer that I predict Adam will meet at some point in time.
Our generation has great singers too, not just the past. Sometimes I wish our dj's would recognize that, and give the young generation their chance. It is difficult for young talent to step out of the shadows of 'The Greats'. And Adam's struggle to be recognized on the same level as Freddie, Robert Plant, Axl Rose, Steven Tylor, etc. is one such example.
Different times result in different career paths and different forms of artistic expression. Classic rock was a great era of music, no question, but it is not happening now. Something else is happening instead.
Alright, just an opinion....take it easy....
