I like John Legend tho I find him a bit boring sometimes. But he is very talented. I find him more like Adele, Sam, Ed Sheeran as they go for a wide audience appeal and don't worry so much about the club/dance scene. What I find intriguing is they can get radio play in multiple formats, nominations and award show invites without trying to compete with the young pop/dance or urban artists. Is it label support or management that is working for them? Whatever it is it works. People don't view them in the same way they view Selena, Demi, Jonas, Bieber etc. tho they are doing well also. They have found success on their terms which is great.
As for Justin Tranter, I don't think it will change in the near future even with more gay artists having success. They love Beyonce, Gaga, Britney, Madonna, Katy etc. Their support and gushing will always be with them thru praise, tweets, accolades, music buying and concert attendance. It is what it is. The artists just need to continue to try to appeal and showcase their talent to a wide audience and hope it resonates with everyone, including their community.

Not comparing or complaining.....but wondered about John Legend....I knew almost nothing about him other than Shosh does his PR and he seems to be doing well. In looking him up....he's 38 (I thought he was older than that), has released 5 albums since 2004, been nominated 28 times for Grammys and won 10, has a Golden Globe and an Oscar for a song from the movie Glory, won an AMA and MTV, and lots of various awards. He's had a big hit with Meghan Trainor and has a role in LaLaLand and the title track from Beauty and the Beast with Ariana Grande. He seems to have a very successful and varied career. Not to compare Adam to him....they are so different....but would love for Adam to have this array of accolades and opportunities. Guess since it's Oscar day....I was thinking/hoping maybe some day Adam will perform or co-write an Oscar winning song. Bamafan I hear you ,but Adam has a tougher road to travel if you listened to the interview above about lack of Gay acceptance for gay artists, etc. That's just gay folks now how about the homophobes... Ok so putting that part aside.. There are TONS of talented people out there and only so many awards,so many parts,so many shows,so many audiences.. IT'S not an easy life to be a recognized artist, the competition is fierce. Adam is a stupendous singer and stupendous human being.. but there are others who can do everything and than some. I mean I think of all the triple threats out there who have never been seen or heard after years of training and trying to get ahead... I want everything for Adam, but I try to sit myself down and talk to myself ...LOOK at what he's accomplished ,look how famous he is ,look how many folks want to work with him,He has two careers going at once, one solo and one with Queen.. who does that ! I'm so grateful that I can listen to his gorgeous voice on a daily basis because of all the music he's put out.

No point comparing Adams success to other artists. He has his own path. It's all opportunity. I'm sure with A4 coming out. A single we'll be bigger then GT. Get Billboard chart success. That means opportunity. To get High Profile Award Show Gigs. It's all opportunity. Just need to be patient. I know it's hard. But been waiting 8 years Haha. I'm just hoping he releases something about his album before June.

Back when Sauli first visited, we thought there was a sauna. Yes....but I guess I thought it was in the tiled long shower, but that does not have cedar in it. There are areas we have not seen. He must have a laundry area somewhere! What I want to know is --- and the mother-in-law suite? Haha (Is that the extra bedroom upstairs?) As the outdoor area was being developed I commented that I thought they would put a cooking/serving area in....and now this listing has a bbq listed? Go figure ??

Guess since it's Oscar day....I was thinking/hoping maybe some day Adam will perform or co-write an Oscar winning song. I am not comparing or even wishing for things for Adam. Whatever happens is in his hands. Just being a talented singer and performer and fashionable and charming is not enough to achieve the level of fame and accolades you listed above. Adam need to create music that connects him to a mass audience if that is what he wants. He has not achieved that yet. Very few artists have done that. It is up to him to find that path, the storyline that connects with millions and millions of people. My only thought is that maybe he does not want that -- maybe instead he want to tell his story and through that effect many, many people is a real way over time. In the long run, the world tends to catch up with real talent. Sometimes it is not until many years later. Look at the list of people who never won even one real Grammy -- Bob Marley to Katy Perry to Queen. Finally, just a word about John Legend -- he is supremely talented like Adam but about as different from Adam as you can get. Whereas Adam started his recording career later than most (first major label performance 2009), John Legend was a child prodigy and accompanied Lauren Hill on "Everything Is Everything" in 1998 when he was 19. And in addition to his entertainment career started out as a high-level management consultant. Per Wiki, "After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Legend began working as a management consultant for the Boston Consulting Group."

His career is going gangbusters. So diverse.. And so many awards! He has written music for others, too, of course. He's very talented. Saw him in LaLa Land and he did a great job. I would love to see Adam be able to diversify into acting, etc. He has a lot more to offer, given the chance.
