I am in Akron, OH, the edge of the "snow belt" -- where we are supposed to get a lot of snow. Tonight might be our first store storm this season. Fingers crossed for tons of snow!!

Hmmm....
Recording AcademyVerified account @recordingacad Mar 11 VR will soon change concert experiences and will longer require setting foot in a crowded venue: grm.my/2ne5yrv via @billboard
I went to a concert last night -- Patti Smith + Band -- and there was no way it could be replicated with VR. None. Cleveland was one of the first places where she was popular -- and she finally returned with her Horses Tour. She played the same venue Adam was in for his December TOH concert -- about a mile from the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame where she has been inducted. She was absolutely awesome. She is now 70 and her voice was as good as I remember it when she was young, and she tour up the stage with her guitar. From a local review.... For the set’s final song, a cover of the Who’s “My Generation,” she strapped on a guitar and immediately began eliciting feedback from it as she hunched over her amplifier. She’d eventually rip the strings off the thing as she yelled “love conquers all” and disowned Donald J. HeWhoCannot amed even though she admitted he was the same age as her and Kaye (her lead guitarist) and part of the same generation that set out to "change the fucking world."
The inter-generational audience participated in the whole concert. I just don't see any way VR can replicate that. Yes the women next to me was into my space a bit (or vice versa) but so what. That is what LIVE needs -- a real audience. Turning back to Adam -- I do not want VR Adam -- I want real Adam, I want real QAL. Agree! A 3D DVD, after the fact, would be great! But nothing can duplicate being in the crowd at a concert!

Saw Eugene Levy on Colbert a while back doing promo for Schitt's Creek. It sounds very funny and I love the cast. I wish Adam could be involved in a fun, smart, quirky cable series like this. It would be perfect for him. He just isn't yet on the "acting" radar by enough producers, etc. But I think a big acting break is in his future. I also love this cast and many of their prior movies and TV efforts. I only watched one episode of Schitt's Creek but it was just OK for me. I think if I was stoned, not legal in Ohio, I would have liked it better. Not suggesting that all the viewers were high, just I would need to reduce my IQ a bit to really like that first episode. Perhaps it gets better? Please let me know if I should reconsider my initial opinion -- in the meantime, I am just shaking my head at Adam for this recommendation. Wow are you suggesting people with low iq only like it. My mum likes it lol. She's a nurse. Adams allowed to like low brow comedy. Not having a go at you. Just saying it ain't that deep :D.

As a person with no IQ insecurities I can honestly say the show grew on me immensly as I continued watching...just finished season 2 on Amazon, and waiting impatiently for season 3 as I don't have the Pop cable channel...great satire touching on many current issues... Btw, Dan Levy's character dresses EXACTLY as Adam in real life. It is quite amazing how apparently typical Adam's style is in certain circles... It's worth watching just for that reason...lmao

I agree with Adam on this one. Gonna try and watch all of Season 2 tomorrow. I found out I have the Pop channel.....who knew.....so I'll follow along with season 3. But I do agree.....it would really be a hoot if you were stoned. :D

Joining in on the Shitt's Creek binge watching. Only made it two episodes so far but hubby likes it so we will probably get the series done. Had to figure out how to chromecast it on Windows 10. (Chrome not working at all on my computer so have to use DS's laptop) A bit like Grace and Frankie.

HAHAHAHAHAHA no not a lame attempt at a "yur mama" joke. But thank you for the laugh. It was more of a look in the mirror joke on myself. There is a kind of humor I do not get -- that many other people find funny. This show is part of that very big space. I don't get it.

OK I am convinced -- I need to give SHtitz (or whatever that creek is called) another try. Pilots/first shows do not always give the best impression (my excuse!!)

Good Morning bored Adam fans. I am one of the long silent fans. I lurk here everyday and hardly ever post. (Love you guys by the way and thanks for brightening the darkest days) Anywho, I have always gone to see Adam when his is in town and done the usual voting and purchasing of a good solid fan. I have never been one of his super supporters who go to see opening day concerts or do anything public, just kind of shy about that kind of stuff. Now, I find myself sort of thrust into the light, as the new queen concert has their opening concert in my hometown, not only that, but only a couple of miles from my house. Naturally I have my tickets, but I wonder, should I be doing something else, for myself or for the board that has given me so much over the years. I post this for you to speculate over on this boring day. Give me suggestions of how I should spend my time for the opening day concert, or how I can be helpful to others who might attend. Thanks all. (Hey, my avatar disappeared since I posted last - Aaaughj!) Glad you posted! See the post in members only for Phoenix. right now not much there but we will become more vocal the closer we get. We will get together at some time before, after and of course during the concert. We right now, need guidance on where to meet after the concert, should be within walking distance and able to hold nosy Adamtopiaians! We have ridden in convertibles in the rain, closed down bars, room parties, singing in the floorboard cause too many people in the car and had calm brunches. the spirit of Adam is with us! So we got our boots on, Got the right amount of leather And I'm doing me up with a black colored liner And I'm working my strut but I know it don't matter All we need in this world is some Adam!
