So do you think Adams so quiet. Because he's busy writing A4? Hopefully. June is still three months Away. I wonder if he well release new music before the first Queen concert. Hopefully. I was reading an article about Adams biggest missed hit singles. They singled out Runnin, Sleepwalker, Can't let you go, and Voodoo. Have to agree. I would like to add "Shady" to the collection of missed hit singles. Sleepwalker...it is way more captivating for me when performed live. About Adam being so quiet...not sure if he is super busy writing/recording. He might also take a more casual approach regarding the next solo chapter and take it somewhat easy while preparing for Q&A. I hope I will be pleasantly surprised when a new single comes out before the first Queen concert. Yes, Shady......of all these (love them all) I think Shady had the best chance of being a hit single....so catchy and dancey... it's so sad that it wasn't given its chance.... i know it was said that the lyrics were 'too gay' at the time but I can't say I really noticed....even when I had a better look at it! and when I think what some of the mainstream lyrics are like these days....!!

This is a little OT but I guess not really because Melanie Martinez is with Atlantic Warner and she opened for Adam in Australia. But I was wondering if some of the more in the know numbers people can share their expertise. Her album went platinum in the US and Silver in the UK but she gets very little radio play here or there and she has not been on any big tv shows that I am aware of. But she did get 3 singles tho only one went gold. She has not even been back on The Voice to perform. You don't see pictures of her out clubbing or partying so she is not on the radar that way. How did she get those numbers? She seems to tour a lot and her Spotify numbers are beyond impressive. I think Atlantic will put a lot behind her when she releases a new album. I guess the impressive Spotify numbers are the driving force but how did that happen with so little exposure? Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, and 5 Harmony are young people with massive radio play and they are on every show known to man but don't have those certification achievements. I am happy for Melanie because she is obviously a hard worker, has broad appeal and takes her career seriously but was wondering if anyone knows how this all happened for her. She is doing something right but how?

I got hooked on Schitt's Creek after Adam tweeted it. It took me a few episodes (at first I thought it was kinda stupid comedy) but by the end of season 1, I was laughing out loud (not sure what this says about me). I watched first 2 seasons on Netflix this week, now watching 3rd season On Demand tv. What I thought was interesting is that it is written, produced by and starring many members of the Levy family! Eugene Levy, that awesome character actor from so many comedy movies and his son, Daniel (the one who tweeted in reply to Adam) created it. They are father and son who star as father and son which is so cool! And the daughter/sister is also in the show as a ditzy waitress (she just tweeted Adam about guesting which would be so fun, he would be awesome on this silly show with his gift for comedy). Daniel Levy is gay but plays a pan sexual character which makes it a hoot with the situations he gets into. The woman who plays the mom/wife on the show is not related but has won awards for her acting in the show. I'm hooked now, can you tell? ha
Fingers crossed Adam gets on the show someday!

I am happy for Melanie because she is obviously a hard worker, has broad appeal and takes her career seriously but was wondering if anyone knows how this all happened for her. She is doing something right but how? Streams got her that certification. Her song Pity Party got over 30 million streams in the US on Spotify and spent 17 weeks in the Weekly Top 200 of which were quite some in the top 100. Her song got added to a big playlist (currently over 13 million followers) in June 2016 (over a year after the release) and that set things off for that song. If you look at her album you see that each song has over 25 million streams. Pity Party is the only one that has charted in Spotify though. I think she appeals to the young audience as she herself is still very young as well. The teenagers listen to Spotify a lot and as long as you stay in a lot of playlists you keep adding streams. She has over 1.6 million followers on Spotify while Adam just went over 400k this week. Also it seems her audience is mostly US based. If I look at her stats for Pity Party the US really stands out a lot. The rest streamed way less (check: kworb.net/spotify/track/3fo6DYGktjENCiagUeU9yH.html). Adam is global. His streams are also global. The US isn't that much bigger in streams than Germany, Sweden or The Netherlands for Ghost Town. Ghost Town however never got on those big playlists, but did spend 19 weeks in the US weekly top 200. That only gave him 15 million streams in the US though, but Ghost Town was certified gold just like Melanie's song. Ghost Town is however still on a lot of playlists which add up to over 3 million followers. Melanie's song is in playlists for a total of just under 600k followers. 2016 was already a very different world in streaming than 2015 was though. Also today there are still more and more people who stream their music online through Spotify or other streaming services. If you get on those big playlists a certification is bound to happen. Isaiah made it to Platinum in Sweden with his song. His song is now dropped from that big playlist though so it will slow down a lot from now on. I myself am very curious on the path that a next single of Adam will take. We all will have something to do when it comes out and that is stream! It won't guarantee success, but it will help getting it attention and hopefully it will then be picked up by others. I see Adam's followers in Spotify increasing quite fast in the last months (faster than before). I hope that will help with the next single as well. I wasn't comparing her to Adam tho cause she is so young but was wondering how she out performed other youngsters like Demi, Jonas and 5th who are everywhere and included in everything. Thanks for breaking it down.

I love that Adam is such a global artist. To me, that is a special kind of cred. I know the US is the big dog is this race to the top of the charts, but I think Adam's US fans are strong and will give him a might big push. I love the international flavor of Adam's fans. It gives his fandom a kind of sophistication, IMO. It proves that fans all around the world love and support him. I just want him to get a big US hit. It could open other doors for him in so many ways. He's multi-talented. But very few people know it. YET.

A great result, Shimoli......and well done for helping to promote this. Thank you SophieB. Czech and Slovak Glamberts (we share Adam's fandom on FB and Twitter ) did their best to get these awards for Adam. And I'm really glad we managed it. They still play Adam's WWFM, Ghost Town (and even ALN) on Radio and TV music channels here. They know Adam has devoted and passionate fans in the CR.

She is doing something right but how? She does have a pretty big fanbase. Who most likely through a fan effort generated those sales. She also opened here in NZ too. She was good. Maybe someone else can explain without Radio play or little promo. She got US and Silver in the Uk. Her streaming numbers are pretty big.

I would like to add "Shady" to the collection of missed hit singles. Sleepwalker...that song is way more captivating for me when performed live. About Adam being so quiet...not sure if he is super busy writing/recording. He might also take a more casual approach regarding the next solo chapter and take it somewhat easy while preparing for Q&A. Considering some of the mainstream lyrics nowadays, I can't imagine how the lyrics to "Shady" would be a problem, but then again it's Adam Lambert singing those lyrics ... #DoubleStandard (same reason why "Fever" was never a single. Sucks.)
