Wow! What amazes me is, that somewhere in their data, they must have ALL the artists labeled as straight or gay. Right?

I also read just now that flagged video's are also not eligible to monetize. Which means Adam is not receiving any income from the video's which are blocked. His full channel is blocked though so does that mean he isn't receiving money for any of those?
ETA: I send Shosh the tweet about Adam's channel and video's being blocked because of this. They will probably investigate.

IDK if "flagged" is the same as restricted.

Wow! I'm literally in shock reading the CNN post about YouTube policy. All the apologies and corrections are good but the fact is their initial action was to label all LGBT artists as non desirable to general public. That was their default way of thinking. I guess it is not surprising given the fascism-in-the-air times we're living in. So, this means Sam Smith was blocked, too? And other LGBT artists? How odd that the "gay" label, in all its variations, was the determining factor is censoring certain videos. Especially since so many "straight" artists have extremely explicit videos. I mean, it's 2017, for cryin' out loud. Great that CNN is fixing it, but still. Some CNN management peeps sure dropped the ball on this one.

IDK if "flagged" is the same as restricted. Sorry I meant flagged as restricted. So if a video is restricted it won't be eligible to be monetized. From the CNN article: This latest flap is just one of many challenges YouTube has faced in the past year as it has changed some policies to appeal to more advertisers. YouTubers fought back in August after monetization on thousands of videos was disabled because they were not "advertiser-friendly."
YouTube's official guidelines for advertiser-friendly content state that "sexually suggestive content, violence, inappropriate language, promotion of drugs and regulated substances, and controversial or sensitive subjects and events" are all restricted under its policies.

Wow! What amazes me is, that somewhere in their data, they must have ALL the artists labeled as straight or gay. Right? Right. But let's be real, that just reflects mainstream label obsession. I know it doesn't seem to align with the fact that it is now 2017, but did we really think those labels had disappeared? I really have a problem with the youtube statement that.... "LGBTQ+ videos are available in Restricted Mode, but videos that discuss more sensitive issues may not be". What 'sensitive issues' are in seemingly all of Troye's MV's and all of Adam's except, WWFM!!! SMDH!!!!
