If u r brave enough just look at the comments.... Those comments are terrible! And it's not one or two, but over 200 people commenting and they are almost all anti-LGBTQ comments. Some are posting several posts, but still.

I also read just now that flagged video's are also not eligible to monetize. Which means Adam is not receiving any income from the video's which are blocked. His full channel is blocked though so does that mean he isn't receiving money for any of those? ETA: I send Shosh the tweet about Adam's channel and video's being blocked because of this. They will probably investigate. I am sure that Shosh (actually not her job to manage YT) and Adam's management and team at WBR know about the issue. It too about 1 hour for YT to get complaints from many artists and their reps. On the monitization -- yes and no. Adam's videos were fine until the restriction was incorrectly put on. BUT the minute they flagged them as not being appropriated for people under 18 years old, they were not eligible for monitization or ad revenue. I assume that when the fixed it (and it is fixed for my location), they also fixed any revenue issues. Here is the YT policy.... Age-restricted content
Some videos don't violate our policies, but may not be appropriate for all audiences. In these cases our review team may place an age restriction when we're notified of the content. Age-restricted videos are not visible to users who are logged out, are under 18 years of age, or have Restricted Mode enabled.
When evaluating whether content is appropriate for all ages, here are some of the things we consider:
Vulgar language Violence and disturbing imagery Nudity and sexually suggestive content Portrayal of harmful or dangerous activities
To learn more about what you can do to avoid having your video age-restricted, please visit our Policy Center.
If you are looking to monetize your video, please review our policies as age-restricted videos will not be eligible for monetization and will also not be shown in certain sections of YouTube. Age-restricted videos are also not eligible to be used for ads.
While they call it "age restricted" -- it is a lot more that that. Most YT are viewed by users who are logged out. **** This was a horrendous mistake on YT's part. I hope they do more than apologize. Perhaps they could feature LBGTQ artists for a month. Or just feature Adam Lambert.

Thanks I didn't know the total policy. I messaged shosh because I know that she reads the message and I also am confident that she will pass it on to the right people. I also started my tweet with "I don't know if you know this already". It was just a fyi. I just checked and YT threats the video's of Adam different from when you are logged off or have restricted view on. When I'm logged off I can still see his video's and his channels, but when I'm on restricted mode I can't (UK IP here now). You can also put restricted view on when you are logged off by the way.

If u r brave enough just look at the comments.... I looked!!!!! I looked at a few of the comments. I can't believe what people believe. They believe that just because an artist is LGBT, then their music must automatically be sex-charged porn or inappropriate in some way. We know that this is not true. Common sense, please. Straight artists have videos that I'll bet many parents would not want their kids to see. Just labeling someone as LGBT does not accurately determine what their videos are like. People drive me crazy.

So, this means Sam Smith was blocked, too? And other LGBT artists? How odd that the "gay" label, in all its variations, was the determining factor is censoring certain videos. Especially since so many "straight" artists have extremely explicit videos. I mean, it's 2017, for cryin' out loud. Great that CNN is fixing it, but still. Some CNN management peeps sure dropped the ball on this one. Just to make sure : it's YouTube policy, CNN is reporting on it. And ya, Patti, it means there is god knows what kind of tags are in their database, I'm sure it is all thanks to advertiser's needs... tti Oops, yes, I know it's YouTube and not CNN who did this policy. I just said it wrong. Thanks for clarifying for me.
