twitter.com/PopCrush/status/849975896865996800PopCrush @popcrush Mariah, The Weeknd, Adam Lambert, Cyndi Lauper and more: the must-see tours of spring-summer 2017. trib.al/AyXQPrY The concert scene in 2017 is full of new and old groups and solo acts, with Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd arguably setting the pace for modern music. Those two gentlemen know how to attract a crowd, but with the likes of U2 and Queen (with Adam Lambert) holding court, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not old school or new school packs the stadiums more than the other. QAL is picture 15 out of 16. They used a good picture. Queen and Adam Lambert Queen teaming with Adam Lambert was such a success in the past, it's no wonder the remaining members of rock's legendary band are partnering up with the former American Idol once again. Of course it's not Freddie, but Lambert gives Queen exactly the star presence the band needs to make shows special. See where this supergroup is playing on Queen's site.

He had that shirt on in his snapchat pic from Sonoma/SF also, last weekend. My tin hat tells me photo shoot continuity! Good sleuthing...but .... Music video creation already? Seems kinda too early, doesn't it? Maybe it's for one of those 'side projects' that Shoshanna once mentioned, but did not elaborate on. No, not a music video shoot. A Behind the scenes video. He was also dressed up for his last recording session with Ferras and Sarah, also. I am pretty much expecting the first single to be one of the songs they wrote together. #TinHat

TY And while we are waiting, here is a youtube of Queen covers, and Adam and Saara X-factor BR is in there, so I thought it was ok to bring over, even though the rest are other singers. Kind of interesting for me was the red/orange headed girl that starts at around 19:30. Her phrasing and performance is imo a total imitation of Adam's Belfast EMA version. No, her vocals are not as beautifully multi-dimensional as Adam's are, it is just that she imitates the phrasing and even the act itself. The funny thing is that she is mimicking it, while Adam at that moment during the performance was so petrified of standing on stage with Queen that he is actually much more wooden in his movements than he ever is otherwise, and the black coat and the haircut are adding to that starkness, and yet, I consider this still in many ways the best version of TSMGO that he has ever done, in spite of or maybe exactly because of his nerves and because of his awareness of the historical significance of singing this song at this moment. This girl, who has certainly got decent vocals, albeit not Adam's, does not have any of this history on her side, and so her act is exactly that: an act. But I still found it interesting to see that Adam's version is being studied and copied by other singers. The rest are decent and ok, but oh well, typical covers. I wish they had included one of Adam's own covers. It's X-factor only, so only one other big one to choose from, but it was a good one. Oh well. Here it is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmtCp5MskfU

craazyforadam....you are absolutely right re that girl covering and mimicking Adam's EMA version of TSMGO....I loved that original of Adam's and get a kick out of other's copying him. We will see more and more of that, I believe, as it is always easier to mimic someone with a clear style and movement that someone who just stands there or is more generic. For example....we see lots of Elvis or MJ impersonators but not so many Springstein and even less Neil Diamond or Roy Orbison....especially when you consider how many hits Neil and Roy actually had... Yes there are a lot of impersonators making a living at covering some of very popular music, but not impersonators of the artist themselves...
