Obviously a long post--just skip if you want, I know I am preaching to the choir here, and, like the rest of us, pretty much let the "but he's not Freddie" roll off our backs, but a few posts back, there was a very congratulatory short article in which the familiar refrain, "of course, he's not Freddie" (or some paraphrase of) came up. I began to think that inadvertently, and due to his humbleness and gratitude, Adam might be contributing to this type of phrasing. Don't get me wrong: I love Adam, I love Adam, I love Adam. Just a thought that if you say something in a certain way often enough, people will believe it. In another life, I was a college professor. An absolutely brilliant and well-loved colleague of mine developed a new class which was wildly popular. The person who took over the class stated many times, "I'm not Professor x." I know this because my TA was in this class. Little by little, my TA said that students (some of them subconsciously) began to take on the attitude that they were getting second best. Nothing could have been further from the truth, but the new professor inadvertently created this environment. Finally, this professor gave thIs class over to another professor, and we didn't hear another thing about it, we were told that she said the college owed a great debt of gratitude to Professor X for founding and developing this class, and then, she carried on in her own way--as has Adam--and the classroom enrollment figures grew, and the new professor's reputation as an interesting, informed, and caring person grew. I know the analogy above is not exact, but I believe there are some similarities with what I said about the continuation of the "But he's not Freddie statements" that is still too prevalent IMHO. I do like when someone responds to such comments, "Of course he's not Freddie, he's Adam" and goes on to extol the strengths of each. Of course, Freddie Mercury more than deserves in an essential way the accolades as a co-founder, song-writer, supremely talented pianist, singer, and one of the most charismatic frontman in rock history. I'll say that Adam matches, if not surpasses, the last two in the list, and I believe that Adam might have faced the most daunting task of being the frontman of someone larger than life such as Freddie ever IMO. However, after quite a number of years as a wildly popular frontman who has an undeniably great chemistry and who is considered family by all concerned, surely just a slight change of wording might be helpful. While I don't pretend to know what that would would consist of, there has to be some way to acknowledge Freddie, while not stating any statement that might accidentally create a comparison in which Adam comes out as second best. After all, there are people who will just simply repeat what they hear. Luckily, we are seeing more people recognizing both, but there are still many individuals, media members, critics,mercy...etc..., who still repeat the old refrain. Of course, any person is entitled to their opinion: these are just thoughts. Let me repeat: this is no criticism of Adam, this is no criticism if Queen. I think they are a magical combination, and I cannot wait to see them twice this summer"😀😍🤓 Please forgive any errors. I am having some pretty bad eye problems. I have been feeling similarly - and I don't sense any criticism from you toward Queen or Adam. I think originally Adam contributed to the "he's not Freddie" phrasing as a way of self defense, and out of respect of course, but I agree that by now Adam has earned the right to "own it". There will always be new fans out there who see Q&A for the first time, so Adam will need to keep a balance between being self assured and humble. For someone like him, that will come naturally I think.

Yes a great post Phronni7.........I was thinking the other day how will he address Freddie this tour,as I do hope he feels accepted now. I would like to see the concert reviewers refrain from the "he's no Freddie" this tour ,no need to keep repeating themselves.
I love the Tom Ford sun glasses pic........I'd love to get stuck in traffic along side Adam!!

So any guesses what the licensed song is? I am presuming it is a Animation Movie, from Disney? So I guess we can summaise, a fun uplifting song. Adam has a few of those. Never Close Our Eyes. Naked Love, Cuckoo e.t.c. Who knows. But more revenue and $ for Adam. Good exposure for Adams music too. That is what I would love first single, get's used in a movie, commercial, tv show e.t.c. Great exposure off the bat. Not Disney, but Blue Sky. the studio that made Ice Age and RIO. I don't care which song it is but hoping like heck that it is an Era 3 song and not a FURCA song!

I don't want anybody to say that Adam can't sing the blues. He was sure wailin' it here. Can't wait for the "bluesy, earthy" A4!

Hot. Love those new sunglasses. And YAY for Adam having a licensed song for that Ferdinand movie! (Not as awesome as a new one recorded for it but still awesome, plus more bank for him, haha.) I REALLY love it since one of my other crushes, Daveed Diggs (from Hamilton & Blackish) is voicing the hedgehog so I have colliding 'fandoms'! Can't imagine how many pairs of sunglasses Adam has. He wears different ones all the time. And the pricey, to say the least. I have one pair at a time that I wear until they literally fall apart. LOL

Can't wait to find out!

PopCrush @popcrush Mariah, The Weeknd, Adam Lambert, Cyndi Lauper and more: the must-see tours of spring-summer 2017. trib.al/AyXQPrY The concert scene in 2017 is full of new and old groups and solo acts, with Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd arguably setting the pace for modern music. Those two gentlemen know how to attract a crowd, but with the likes of U2 and Queen (with Adam Lambert) holding court, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not old school or new school packs the stadiums more than the other. QAL is picture 15 out of 16. They used a good picture. Queen and Adam Lambert Queen teaming with Adam Lambert was such a success in the past, it's no wonder the remaining members of rock's legendary band are partnering up with the former American Idol once again. Of course it's not Freddie, but Lambert gives Queen exactly the star presence the band needs to make shows special. See where this supergroup is playing on Queen's site. I had a very hard time getting to picture 15 in that site, but when I finally got there, it was so worth it. I'm embedding for those who couldn't get there: Thank you! I didn't have much time yesterday and wasn't able to get the direct link of the picture for some reason!
