I saw Harry Styles performance on Saturday Night Live. He was pretty good. But for such a young person, I applaud his attempt to position himself as a serious artist. His vocals are not the best, but his style is certainly different from the Selena, Demi, Jonas, Ariana, Bieber and Katy pop acts. Adele, Sam, Mendes, Legend, and Ed are not your typical pop acts either, but they get plenty top 40 radio play/hits, so I'm sure it will be the same for Harry. I am so excited for Adam's real instruments and bluesy style for this era. Fingers crossed that radio will give him substantial play. He is one of the most talented vocalists and artists out there today so hopefully more people will get to hear him. I also saw SNL last night. I think it would have been smarter if he/his management had not let him do that bit as Mick Jagger -- he is not much of an comedian. He is making his acting debut in a movie - Dunkirk. It seem that he really wants to be an actor. Regarding his performances, they were OK for me, but I am not a Harry Styles fan, and I am sure fans loved it. Finally, I really like the song he/his label chose for his first single. It is more complex and interesting than most current pop music. So, while I am not really a fan of Harry Styles, I am interested in hearing his debut solo album. > Bringing it back to Adam. I would love to hear him cover "Sign of the Times" [Harry Styles debut single] at some point. I rarely watch SNL, but I did happen to watch last night mainly to watch Alec Baldwin. I think Harry is fine. Looks ok, Sings ok. He probably made a good decision to go out on his own. I agree that he seems to be attempting to distance himself from the boy-band pop thing. Good luck to him. I also agree that he didn't do the Jagger thing very well. But it was funny anyhow. Those skits are all just silliness so no one cares. I keep thinking about Adam doing SNL. He's been on lots of variety-comedy type shows, esp. overseas. And he has been VERY fun and capable of doing comedy, accents, quick repartee, etc. He's really good at it. I can visualize him doing the Weekend Update segment on SNL. He'd NAIL it. He has good comic timing. He'd be good in any SNL skit. He was asked to be on SNL right after Idol. I WISH THEY'D REDISCOVER HIM. He's just as funny and smart and entertaining as ever. Big hit song=Big media attention. Praying for A4 to be the gateway.

" He was asked to be on SNL right after Idol."
I don't remember that, the only one I remember been on SNL was Aiken.
