I find this musical and also somewhat personal update from Ryan Tedder quite thought provoking and "enlightening" - and I think it is highly relevant for us Adam fans who can never get enough. At the same time, it pretty much confirms what was discussed and concluded here on this site not too long ago. Adam needs real downtime once in a while. Given the way music is consumed and promoted nowadays (and assuming how artists thrive most likely), I am not surprised to read that Ryan considers albums outdated, that he finds it hard to stick to one sound and that he wants to take on a new approach to releasing music. What struck me the most was "All I'm ever chasing is goosebumps or emotion or fun...In whatever shade or color that is...Currently I'm chasing it. I'm a songs guy, the sound is always evolving." - that sounds familiar. I'm sure Ryan would have a good conversation with Adam.

That interviewer is from Omaha and that's one of QAL's US venue towns. I imagine QAL will be discussed, but hopefully Adam will share something new about A4....Fingers crossed.

I feel that this may be one of the couple of new tunes in the QAL Tour from News Of The World.

those 60k right of of Idol? were those already on that Idol-summer-tour? Then it would make sense to me that the kontestents kept saying they wanted to make money on the tour^^ ...I'm leaning more towards the 250k per show, Adam is, and I think it is fair to say this without being a biased fan, part responsible for the succes of the live tours of queen...either way, it's good money ...Question of the day...is Adam naked or is he not^^...I heard leaving some things to the imagination is even hotter, more attractive, exciting? Well according to Pharaoh (if he can be believed!)

Well according to Pharaoh (if he can be believed!) Wow! Been gone all day and so much new stuff here! First of all, so glad we're getting a new interview from Adam. It's about time! Hope we get more media coverage in the US for the QAL tour, too. We never seem to get much in the US. I keep praying that the US venues start to fill up a lot more. We are just not as Queen-crazy as the UK and Europe are. Let's hope it picks up in the next month or so. Excited too that the show will be different in its look and in its set list. We all want the greatest hits, but I'm ready for some Queen songs that are new to me. Helps keeps the performers from getting bored, too. Playing the same songs thousands of times can get kinda old, to say the least. Adam will be able to handle anyone they give him. Ready for new outfits, too! Interesting discussion about how much Adam may earn per QAL show. $200,000 or so sounds about right. Even more maybe. He IS the front man, after all! I am loving Adam's "naked, come hither" videos. Even if he's not actually naked, it sure works for me! Talk about "bedroom eyes." Heard that Alisan Porter will be on The Voice promoting her new single. Good luck to her. From her Tweet, it sounds like they didn't give her the record deal she thought she was getting. It's a jungle out there.

Agree $50k is too low but $250k may be too high for the base fee. Considering most of the gigs look like they are boxing on average $1M, seems to me that a flat between $150,000 and $200,000 (8-10 million for the series) would be proportionately more reasonable. To that would be added his share VIP package proceeds and likely a cut of the merchandise proceeds. So 10-12 ish million total, not a bad few months work if you can get it. </img> Indeed! Heard from someone who knows someone, that QAL won't step into an arena w/o a million box office guarantee. Then as you said, add in the VIP tickets. $$$ Plus, they get a concession percent and merchandise. Oh, and incentives for high sales, like 85% sold, 90%, Sold Out, etc. If he made 10 million from the 2014/2015 tours, then I am thinking 200-250k a show is about right. That $1M guarantee must be with all the extras (% of concessions, etc.) thrown in. Otherwise the numbers don't make sense for the promoter. Some of the smaller venues are only 10,000 if sold out. At an average ticket price of $150 (that includes VIP & platinum tics), the take would be $1.5M. The artist usually gets about half that. So with extras, can barely get to $1M for artist take for 10,000 seat arena. Just my estimate, but maybe someone has better numbers? I was under the impression that the artist could either choose a larger flat rate plus a smaller percentage of tickets sold + extras, or a smaller flat rate with an even larger percentage of tickets sold + extras. And that the numbers are such that if the shows are near sold out you could make more money with the smaller flat rate and larger percentage of tickets sold + extras. With the way that the QAL shows have been mostly selling out over the last couple years, I would bet that Adam is going with the smaller flat rate, somewhere in the $100K to $200K range and an even larger percentage of the tickets sold + extras. Also, I don't think flat rates for tour concerts are near as much as flat rates for one off appearances. Plus for Adam's solo performances he has to pay the band and crew and other expenses. I don't think he pays for any of this out of his cut from QAL performances. So I don't think Adam's usual one off performance rate can be used as a guide for his flat rate for QAL touring. Also, Brian & Roger have to pay the rest of the band and crew and production costs, which they have said is very large, and hopefully have a good bit left for themselves. So I would think a minimum flat rate of $250K is a bit high. But I think Adam makes at least $250K average per show when everything is totaled.
