Runnin' made it to 11 million streams on Spotify today! Congrats with 11 million streams on @spotify! 🎉 #NP #Runnin' by @adamlambert 🏃 Now 11,005,659 (+15,245)! ♫ Other stats: +83,866 Ghost Town 163,585,175 streams +9,551 Welcome To The Show 10,516,740 streams +24,128 Can't Go Home 26,906,034 streams +12,058 Broken 9,525,703 streams Ironically, Adam wasn't into Runnin that much when he picked songs for the album, so how lucky are we that the song even made it onto TP, at least as a bonus track! Like many others have expressed already, for me too many of Adam's bonus tracks are amongst my favorite songs of his and they include Down The Rabbit Hole, Voodoo, Master Plan, Runnin(my top favorite), and After Hours. I think they give me more the "Adam vibe".

Wonder what gems he wrote that were going to be bonus tracks. Too bad radio and the powers that be don't look at bonus tracks like they used sometimes pick up on the B sides of the old singles. It seems that the hits I hear are different and don't sound formula. Now that would be retro. With the new wave of releasing songs without albums if Adam would release two at a time .

The only quote I can remember from Adam, about Runnin, was that he was surprised by how much his fans loved it. I think if NCOE had not been added to the album, Runnin would have been a regular track, not a bonus track.

I clearly remember Adam saying that he didn't majorly feature Runnin on the album because he didn't like it - there were a lot of fans wondering why it was only a bonus track. I can't tell you what interview or twitter exchange exactly it was and when exactly it happened, but I am sure that I am not the only one remembering. (I also remember that Adam originally wanted to be "honest and real" for TP but then he ended up with quite a few upbeat dance songs...likely due to his happier private times, but that's only my speculation). Another thing that I vaguely(!) remember is the phase when Adam had to pick songs for the TP album and how challenging it was for him to do that. He talked about that too. Jablea, I agree completely that many of Adam's bonus tracks don't sound formula but interesting and different. Hit potentials for me

Trespassing is honest and real! It's the lyrics. Has nothing to do with how upbeat the beat is. Adam likes to do that. GT is the same way. Depressing lyrics set to a dance beat. He does it well!

Are you talking about "Naked Love" and "Cuckoo"? I didn't mean to diss TP btw. as I like many songs on it, but wanted to look a bit deeper behind the making of the album. Generally, I am not always in the 100% cheerleading mood, and it looks like my opinions differ from yours once in a while. Good enough

Good enough I think the lyrics to most of his Trespassing songs were real and pretty much "autobiographical." Trespassing, Shady, Kickin In, Broken English, Underneath, Chokehold, OOL, Runnin, Nirvana were all about Adam's life and feelings. (I also remember that Adam originally wanted to be "honest and real" for TP but then he ended up with quite a few upbeat dance songs...likely due to his happier private times, but that's only my speculation )
Sounds like you think "honest and real" can not be a dance song, to me. Maybe i am interpreting your idea of Honest and real differently than you intended?

Hi @pattihum, I don't disagree that the songs above have deep and autobiographical lyrics in them, and I really really like many of them especially Shady, Kickin In, Broken English, Chokehold, and Runnin. I can also listen to a dance song and not find it superficial either. But when Adam talked about an honest and real album while still in the process of creating it, I expected something less bouncy and a bit more in the vibe of his last album TOH. Don't get me wrong, I think TP is terrific.
