Hoping the heat in Phoenix does not affect incoming flights. Will be coming from the Northwest and arriving Thursday around 1:00 PM. Not looking forward to 114 degrees. I visited a friend in Palm Springs once during June in the early 70's and it was 122. Swore i would never go someplace that had the potential to get that hot again. Anything for QAL, I guess. Supposed to be a balmy 113-114 in Phoenix for Thursday and Friday. Those are normal, for there, so you should be just fine! Vegas temps predicted to be the same.

I think it depends on the aircraft: www.cnn.com/2017/06/20/us/weather-west-heat-wave/index.html"...There could be more cancellations later Tuesday, an airline spokesman said. Seven flights were canceled due to weather on Monday, when the temperature reached 118 degrees, rounding out the total to 50 weather-related cancellations in two days. Some smaller regional jets cannot take off in temperatures hotter than 117 degrees, it said in a statement. " Our smaller regional operations -- those that use our CRJ aircraft types -- will be most affected by the heat," the airline's communication specialist Kent Powell told CNN. " We really aren't expecting any change to the operation with our mainline aircraft."Because hotter air is thinner, planes also need more speed to take off and, thus, require more runway. Sky Harbor's runways are long enough to accommodate most planes in hot weather, American Airlines said." www.phoenixnewtimes.com/news/american-airlines-flights-cancelled-phoenix-sky-harbor-heat-wave-9428847"...The cancellations so far are limited to shorter flights headed for places like Flagstaff, Yuma, and Tucson. As American Airlines explained in a statement today, those flights use Bombardier CRJ regional aircraft, which have a maximum operating temperature of 118 degrees. Tuesday's afternoon temperatures are expected to reach 120 degrees, meaning that those planes won't be able to take off or land at Sky Harbor...." Thank you. good information. The temperature change for me is going to be between 40 and 44 degrees. Someone told me once that when the temperature hits 100 degrees, anything over that doesn't really matter. It all feels the same - hotter than Hades

Wow! I thought Chicago was hot, but 120 is beyond my comprehension. Hope it cools down enough for those flights to arrive safely.
The only heat we want that day is the heat emanating onstage from Adam's incredible sexiness. And also the heat pouring from Brian May's Red Special.

I am full on Western Canadian when it comes to heat tolerance....cannot even imagine living in that sort of climate!! I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for 6 years and find -30C far more amenable than +30C.... You can dress for the cold but you can't strip of your skin for the heat....eek. Even Adam can't get me to consider that.... We have heat close to that in Eastern Canada ...Toronto; Montreal; Ottawa...along with humidity...and that truly is hellish. I hope the boys don't have to deal with that when they are there.....even worse than Phoenix...

Twitter users! This is important. Please read the tweet and block this person. She/he harrasses Adam, Sauli and a fellow glambert by the most horrible ways. Some of the accounts might be private, but I have one horrible tweet from these accounts that I can send by private message, if someone wants. Don't wanna share it here.
