So, back to the tour, specifically the staging. I was really glad to see that the lyrics to Two Fux were displayed. I love the first four lines of the choruses If you think what I do and how I live's too much I don't really really give two fucks If you think what I say and give ain't love I don't really really give two fucks but had trouble understanding them clearly. Happy that people at the shows will be able to see them as he sings them so they can get the full impact. What I have always appreciated and loved about Adam was that when singng you could hear the words. Hmmm...Not so much with this song based on the vids and Kimmel. Good thing they do post the words on the tour as one wishes at least a positive listen for the audience. In one vid this morning Adam has begun singing and as he walks back to the big stage he uses both arms to wave down. I am assuming/ seemed obvious to me ---this was to quieten down the volume of the band. And it was his second attempt within the first of the song. The balance has to be darn good to hear the words. He does sing this one more softly and tons of fast paced wordings also impact.

I have watched this Instagram several times now.... Whoa, wait... I hasten to assure you, my repeated viewings of this Instagram are purely for research. I have a great devotion to the sciences, this project is completely above board and unsalacious. I am earnestly following all scientific tenets. Now where are those bananas?

I was wondering about this too.. usually I can understand him really clearly, but not so much with Two Fux, based on the majority of videos, with the exception of the chorus. This is the one video that sounds the clearest to me.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tUBHNRhgg8E

Thank GOD I'm not alone with 'two fux'...I'm obsessed with the song, has been stuck in my head ever since jimmy kimmel ...I just sincerely hope I like the studio version as much as the live version they've been doing... I was thinking the same thing. LOVE the QAL version we've gotten this week. The arrangement, Brian's guitar...everything. Hope the studio version isn't too different, but then no one will sound like Brian. Seems like maybe the confetti drop at the end of the show now includes some red pieces and maybe even silver...still predominately gold...would of fit the color scheme to have all red and silver, but looks great as it is...

But I noticed in STL he made a signal early on to the sound board, then shortly after that when he started to walk out to the end of the thrust he made a really forceful signal... There must have been some sound issues.

So, I was at the Phoenix show Friday night and then yesterday, I had to go to a Toastmasters workshop for regional club officers, attended by several hundred people. I was still feeling the glow from the concert (how could I not?), so I wore the QAL shirt I'd bought at the merch stand. Well, dozens of people stopped me, grabbed my shirt and cried, "Did you see the show last night? How was it? HOW WAS ADAM? ISN'T HE BRILLIANT?" Even guys who said they were longtime fans, after asking which songs they played, launched into rhapsodizing about how incredible a singer Adam is. Not a word about Brian or Roger! Same thing on Friday as we all were leaving the arena; even the most hardcore Queen fans adored the show and B&R but kept raving about Adam, Adam, Adam.
Our Adam's legend seems to be growing larger by the minute...
Much of what I'd want to say about the concert has already been said by others. But IMHO it is the best QAL show yet - they may never be able to top this. If the guys were that spectacular on opening night, I can only imagine that by the time the tour reaches its stride the show will be otherworldly. I was so proud of Adam because this was the 5th time I've seen him live, but the first time I've ever seen him in total control of the stage and the crowd, really mastering both. People always reminisce about how Freddie commanded audiences and held them spellbound like no one else, and though I'd agree with them, I think Adam's getting to that level too.
I like the updated set list, and completely relate to I'm in Love with My Car since I just bought my first brand new car in years. But I do miss 39 - I adore Dr. May and always loved the patter that went with the song.
side comment: Someone yesterday, commenting on Adam's fuchsia suit for Killer Queen, asked "Who else would or could wear that?" Well, when he came out on stage in it, my first thought was, "Why is Adam dressed like Prince?!"
