I am awestruck that Adam can sing those three songs in a row -- in Denver. Maybe he is an alien!! At the very least he is representing them! ("Rep for them aliens..." )

It's Late, followed by SYW, followed by WWTLF. Adam approved of that sequence???? That's crazy. Like running a 6K, immediately followed by a 10K, and ending with a marathon. Phenomenal, and he nailed them all! Triathlon - easy peasy 😉 What is it the singing teacher he worked with before the first Glamnation tour said - Adam can do extraordinary things with his voice but he can't do them endlessly... he's got 50 shows ahead of him over the next 8 months... phenomenal indeed but smart?

Ah, that's the question, isn't it? I worry, myself. But, I tell myself that Adam knows his voice better than anyone. He knows what he can do and not do. He knows when it feels right and when it feels strained or tired. He knows what has happened to so many singers (including Freddie) who have abused or overused their voices. He knows that it is his voice that sets him apart and gains him the acclaim and respect. He knows what he needs to do and not do to keep his voice healthy. Multiple times when on tour Adam has been asked about going out partying and has said he doesn't do that because he has to be mindful of his voice because he owes the audiences his best performance and that comes first. Looking at the touring schedule, there are no three day back to back performances. That is very smart. If Adam continues to be smart about how he uses his voice, he should make it thru this tour without problems. He has been touring as a lead singer since 2010, and I cannot remember one instance where he had to cancel a show or curtail his usual vocals due to vocal strain. A couple of times he had to cancel due to illness, but not due to vocal problems.

Just to add, singing as Adam does is very demanding physically. People may think, "but he is just standing there during those songs. He's not moving or dancing." But singing correctly with the right support requires very fine use of muscles throughout the head, throat, chest, abdomen and down into the groin. I recall in one interview Adam admitted that sometimes at the end of WWTLF he is actually shaking from the effort it takes. End of The Show Must Go On, I believe, was what he said. He said it was the hardest song for him.

Phenomenal but vocally demanding setlist last night in Denver with It's Late, SYW, and WWTLF back to back. I'm glad that there will be a 3 day break after Omaha and Kansas City before they hit Chicago. Chicago should be in for a treat after a good amount of rest! For the three back to backs following, I think it is likely to see some modifications in the setlist to preserve that precious instrument of Adam's.
July 8th Omaha, NE - CenturyLink Arena July 9th Kansas City, MO - Sprint Centre July 13th Chicago, IL - United Center July 14th St. Paul, MN - Xcel Energy Center July 17th Montreal, QC - Bell Centre July 18th Toronto, ON - Air Canada Centre July 20th Detroit, MI - The Palace of Auburn Hills July 21st Cleveland, OH - Quicken Loans Arena

I'm grateful for that. They'll be fresh and rested and Adam's voice should be in top form. He knows how to take good care of his voice. He's a pro. But the Queen songs are more demanding than some other artists' are. He gets little rest when Brian and Roger do their solo parts, but it's not much. I heard that Adele had to cancel two huge shows at Wembley because of vocal strain. At least they haven't scheduled three shows in a row, at least in the US. I think there is at least on "three-in-row" on the UK/Europe tour. Three in a row can be a killer.

I do wonder if all those who have trashed their voices thought that's what they were doing at the time? People are notoriously bad at thinking long term. Although I have read about some who go to extraordinary lengths (Celine Dion I think is one).
