I found myself hardly watching the big screens because my eyes were so transfixed to Adam on stage. I was going to watch Frank the robot's (lol) movements on the screens but couldn't take my eyes off AFL! Yeah, you miss a lot when only focused on Adam. It takes going back and watching vids, etc. to see some of what you miss. I just noticed the little cartoon characters on the top screens at the last show while waiting on the encore. Sometimes all the lights are more of a distraction if you're on the floor....blinding you or coloring Adam red or blue, etc....or lack of light to see him in the mix of things. I realize the show is designed for viewing by the whole crowd...and most of the audience is wrapped around the lower and upper bowl seats, so I understand. I imagine viewing it from above would be a true spectacle and a very cohesive 2 hour production. We know that each Adam presentation we see on stage is the Adam we know. I think one reason folks who aren't familiar with him become so taken in and swept along for 2 hours (besides the stellar vocals, which are impressive all to themselves) is he's bad ass rocker Adam, then he's sexy mic rubbing and slithering/thrusting crotch grabbing Adam, then operatic vocal Adam, then he's sweet/humble talking Adam, then silly and slapstick Adam like on the bicycle. They're getting all the various characters we've seen being thrown at them nonstop and add in all the lights, set design, etc, on top of Adam, Brian and Roger.....well, "welcome to the show". And from most of the reviews lately...seems it's all working. exactly! And that's why I try to watch as many YTs and streams as I can BEFORE my local shows come along, I am the opposite of those of you who are trying to stay virginal. I want to know every detail in advance so when I am finally there I can concentrate on the parts that I am most interested in... I also want to be able to close my eyes from time to time and fully immerse mysef in THE VOICE! Perhaps it's my life ling opera going habit, but I know that the visuals overwhelm my auditory perceptions, and I desperately need to be able to HEAR Adam's singing... good thing I have three concerts, this way I can cover everything I hope...
