There is no question that QAL has been a huge success in every way it can be defined: reviews, ticket sales, venues played, audience reaction, set design, sound, expertise of the personnel involved, enjoyment factor.
However, I cannot conclude from that that Adam should go the route of rock and roll to find his ultimate success. Queen is much more than just a rock band. They are one of the most beloved bands in the world. They have a repertoire that includes some of the best songs written in the past 40+ years. Their songs have permeated many aspects of today's culture. There is hardly a person alive today who does not know at least a couple of Queen songs, even if they don't know that they are by Queen. Queen is unique among rock bands in the diversity of their repertoire and their theatrical presentations which aim for the heights of what is technically possible. Adam is uniquely suited to performing their repertoire and fronting their style of bombastic show live.
QAL is the perfect storm. I don't know that Adam could, that any band could reproduce their level of accomplishment and appeal, regardless of the skills of the individual band members.
As far as Adam joining or forming a permanent band, I cannot see it. Yes, he does like to collaborate. But he is also highly eclectic, innovative, creative and mercurial in his musical tastes and directions. How could he find a group of musicians that would match all his different sides and impulses? Not to mention, Adam stands out in any crowd or group. He walks out on the stage, and he is a STAR. He can, and generously does share the spotlight, but his days of being part of the chorus are long past.
I am looking forward to seeing where Adam will go next, but wherever that is, I see him as a solo act, the SUPERSTAR.

Sorry guys, just managed to get back to the thread... Thank you Cassie, Marionm, DancyGeorgia, and Satisfied for your responses to my plea. Thank you Cassie for the suggestion of Mardi's stream of the entire concert and thank you Satisfied for posting the link to the stream. Thank you DancyGeorgia for the coming mp3s. I appreciate your offer to release early but I can certainly wait until you're ready with them. I'm very excited to have good audio mp3s coming of this magical show. You indicated you've already released HB1 and HB2; where can I find them? I'm here every day but must have missed them. Really looking forward to your next release. THANK YOU. And Marionm, you can flirt with my avi anytime!

It was a really good tour and each night was special. Well, we will hang on for the next performance. Back to talking about Pharaoh...... Great thread read today... The generation of opinions and suggestions for boosting and lifting Adam's future career filled many pages. These are certainly coming from a love of his abilities and the hope that he achieves along a scale of epic notoriety, to ---as long as he is happy. The posts kept the thread alive today, and will in the future even if Adam is lounging in his back yard, or hiking Runyon with Pharaoh. And I rather like the images that pop up of Pharaoh. It shows another side of Adam's life. Some are not interested in that part of his life. I am. I am thrilled for the excitement of performances, but I also appreciate some slower paced times. So agree with you m45maia---even if you are being humorous/fecicious ---and that is when we need Pharaoh to get to page 3 or 4. 😜😁

Sat next to 4 Queenies last night. 2 were old Brits that had seen Freddie perform. Comment after the show, "Love Adam! There isn't anyone else who could do this show!" I knew they were enjoying it all during the show, but the verbal confurmation was great! BTW, I would say 90% of the $500, $700 sear section is Glamberts! My experience was that the percentage of Glamberts in the highest priced seats varied by market -- Cleveland, Detroit and Toronto seemed to have a higher percentage of Queen fans than the other concerts I attended.

Is it Throwback Thursday yet? Just sitting down to send a playlist of the highlights of this fabulous tour to a friend and somehow, fell down the gigantic rabbit hole and came up with this QAL gem from July 2012 which I had to bring in - please watch to the end and be prepared to tear up and qvell (overflow with joy) simultaneously. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEq6SdlD060&list=RDbK_NxD-q45k&index=5
