I was reading over on QOL and they have 5 concerts where attendance and money have been posted. They are making it sound as if $20 tickets and cutting ticket prices was the order of the day. Conclusion over there is that this might not have been as much of a money generator as 2014 and really whether it was such a success at at all. That has not been my perception, so I was wondering were there sellouts and how did it really fare? I thought it was a bonafide success and raked in lot of money. So maybe they are just projecting their hope that it didn't do well and making it a reality per usual on that board! Love someone who knows to weigh in!! LOLOLOL! I'll check out that place later... it still amazes me how they all hate the fact that B&R are alive and doing well...anyway, re the profitability of the tour - we don't know what the bottom line is of course, but we do know that the intake consists of more than ticket sales...and ticket sales were excellent for all the venues, even those that looked weaker than others (Detroit, Nashville, Kansas City)... and all the venues were adding those Limited View Seats ... The $20 promo was a Live Nation action for their major tours for the summer of 2017 and had a few Limited View tickets for 50+ tours. It is quite silly to use the participation in this promo as some "proof"... insider.ticketmaster.com/kickoff-summer-20-concert-tickets/.... In celebration of National Concert Day, for one week only, Live Nation is launching their “Kickoff to Summer Ticket Promotion” by making over one million tickets available for just $20. There will be tickets for 50+ tours and 1000+ shows at venues across the nation. The general on-sale for the “Kickoff to Summer Ticket Promotion” begins Tuesday, May 2 at 8am local time, and continues for one week through Tuesday, May 9. ..... It is strange. If you don't want them to perform with the people they are performing with today, you can stay home or avoid watching. Brian and Roger are having a great time with Adam and others they want to work with. Fans are loving and enjoying them. They are putting on a great show and making wonderful new memories for many. What is there to be mad about? Why hope the show is a failure when ya know it is not?
