So I went to J.C. Penney to pay my bill this afternoon and this really nice song was playing and then I realized that it was "Better Than I Know Myself". It was so good and so catchy that I thought about the fact that if Bruno Mars had recorded it, that song would definitely been a radio hit and probably have been nominated for a Grammy for Best Song. All I can say is "SIGH"!!!

I know it is a small award but for the Teen Choice Awards Harry Styles won for best rock artist. His album has been called soft rock/glam rock etc. I liked his first single but I am a bit surprised that he moved so easily from a pop boy band to being classified as a rock artist even as he enjoys substantial pop radio play. But I must say it was a smart move on his part to try to take himself out of the pop lane solely. It is dominated by the divas or R&B/Urban male (tho most of them are white) except for The Weeknd, Pharrell and Bruno etc. I sure hope that Adam can shake things up a bit and find himself placed in more than only the pop category. We must remember it's not rock people giving him this award it's teens!!! Sign Of The Times is good! I guess we'll see if it garners any other awards. Harry being part of One Direction helps him no matter what he produces. He has those millions of teen fans that loved him and the group! this was to be expected!!!! I'm not a big Harry Styles fan. But Sign of the Times is a very good song. I agree though under the 1D brand. And the massive fan base he has, and marketing appeal. He's going to,succeed no matter what he produces. As for Adam. I like he seems to moving towards a more Glam Rock sound again. I think pop when it comes to the males is so dominated by RNB and Urban Artists. Theirs place for Glam Rock.

I love seeing Adam depicted in these beautiful sepia tones. Very deep and rich and kind of elegant. Adam through and through.

On the evening of August 19, 2017, Project Angel Food is paying tribute to George Michael in a very special way as part of their annual Angel Awards in Los Angeles. Ayoub:
Because he said no to us [honoring him] year after year, we’re now saying yes to him. We are honoring him with the Elizabeth Taylor Leadership Award, which will be presented by Kenny Goss. There will be music too, and we thought that the best person to do George Michael justice is Adam Lambert. We reached out to him and asked if he would please do a musical tribute. He’s touring with Queen right now, and naturally very busy, so we were thrilled beyond belief when he said yes. So, for one night only he’s going to stop all the Queen music, and he’s going to bring George to life through his music. It’s going to be a very, very special occasion. We know that George’s family is sending us a letter to read to the group that evening, so we’re really excited about that. We definitely have the family’s blessing and they’re so thrilled that people care so much about George that they want to keep his legacy alive. Just keeping his generosity alive as well, and remind people about him. So excited to see this performance! Hope something is posted Saturday night. I'll be leaving Sunday morning for a week without my laptop, so will only have my phone. I know he'll do a fantastic job.

That article about George is so lovely! Wow, so many charities! Incredible. I love when "giving" is kept secret. He did it for the people and not for recognition. I am starting to get nervous about Saturday. What is Adam mingles, like he did at OUT & I actually have the opportunity to talk to him, like a normal person, not a fan. What if the opportunity is there and I freeze up or am too shy to approach him. Or what if i do talk to him but babble like an idiot! Waaaaaaaaaahhhh! Nervous!

Yep. I agree it is not rock people giving him the award. But also remember it is not rock people who decide who gets the nominations and the wins. They always grumble when people like Lorde win and when Beyoncé was nominated in a rock category. Sometimes I scratch my head as well with who is in the rock category but nobody cares, lol. The most we can do is to keep on loving and supporting our Adam and vote, vote, vote when the time comes!!! Every recording artist has someone new nipping at their heels. hoping for success. Every artist has his own path. Adam is older than the typical teen idol. His audience is very diverse. He's got a lot more cred than he had a few years ago. I agree that the best we can do is love and support him in all ways possible, voting, buying, streaming, whatever. BTW, I think Harry Styles is a cutey and a nice guy. Good for him that he won the award. I'm sure he'll work his butt to sustain his success for the long haul, just like Adam.

When I was in elementary, my teacher taught us that "giving" is better kept secret. She said, what your "Right hand does your left hand doesn't need to know". So when you do something good, it's better not too announce it to the world .

Would be really nice if they live streamed the event and ask viewers to make donations. You know Glamberts would flood them with donations for a live stream!
