I still don't buy that Adam simply wants a change, because he "feels like it" or so...My perception (from a distance and with Adam anyways, what can you ever truly say^^) was really that that was the kind of house, the level of living he always wished for himself and that was he was set. As much as Adams likes to color his hair and as spontaneous as he is it never seemed like he was one to go bigger and bigger on housing as soon as he can afford it. He had is garden redone not even a year ago, put thought into all the lighting... I the end we all know as much as the next one... We may or may not find out P.S. I think Adam could have afforded those original 3 millions after Glam Nation and Trespassing and with the QAL until that point. He's more conservative than he gives himself credit P.P.S. @patti an outside kitchen? how do I have to imagine that? Like a stationary bulid in Grill? I've just never really heard of it... Not Patti but in a very high end house an outdoor kitchen might look something like this Less ornate as you drop down in home value, down to maybe a simple grill and sink setup. Wowzer... that is bigger than our single "first" kitchen (indoor kitchen) at our house...we're not exactly poor, but we're German, we just don't move...no matter the paycheck^^

I'm afraid that he will lose a lot of money on it. All the fancy upgrades may not be appreciated by buyers. As they say in real estate, "location, location, location" - I think Adam will have no trouble selling

I watched a Bowie documentary last night. He said in one of his interviews that he made his home in NYC because one can live an anonymous life there -- not like in LA. Timely.

Outdoor kitcens are very popular in CA. I think in most warm climate areas too, like AZ, TX. It is as pictured above, but not as big or ornate. More like just the part on right side of that photo. But with no roof or hanging chandeliers! Built in grill (2 actually, a special one just for steaks), 2 burners, refrig, sink, bar area.

For all we know this home could have been a starter home for him and he now wants to upgrade. He lives in LA around many stars so he is not like us regular folk. He has made a lot more money since that purchase. Or it could be for totally different reasons. Until he makes another purchase or says something we may never know. And just because we did not know about it does not mean it was not a well thought out decision by Adam and those who help him with his financial planning. He seems very responsible and level headed so it will be exciting to see what his next move is.
