Since it was announced on May 12th, shouldn't Rent be already cast? That said, if Adam was by any chance cast, HE would not be the one to announce it. Fox would and they haven't made any announcements so far. I saw Rent and really loved it but don't know if it will go over well on Fox. It's not filled with catchy tunes that everyone knows like The Sound of Music. I think it would be GREAT if Adam got the role. He really needs a break-through acting role to draw attention to his acting abilities. I saw a professional production of Rent a few years ago. It is very powerful. It is full of meaty roles. I wish Adam could get one. One acting gig may lead to another. I know Leto already has an Oscar. He's very good. But I'd love for Adam to have a chance. The themes of Rent to so deeply emotional.

Maybe I'm grumpy today, but I wonder if anyone besides me think a food charity could actually donate the $ spent on food, flowers, etc. for their own gala to their own charity? Perhaps eat peanut butter sandwiches? Not that I don't appreciate every opportunity to hear Adam sing. You can tell I'm not a member of the fundraising club. As treasurer of the PTA in suburban OH, I suggested not doing a candy drive sending little ones door to door, but revealed how much we'd spend on obtaining candy for fundraising, how much we needed to raise, and asked for donations instead. We raised $1000 over what we needed, and I received thank you notes from working mothers. ( There were few stay at home dads in those days!). The anti-fundraiser fundraiser.
You can see I was a practical working mom in those days, and not a "fun" person. Rant over.

For example the table bouquets were donated and are being 'sold' at each table.
