Adam's performance of "One More Try" was incredible. Gorgeous vocal, beautiful interpretation. His entire tribute to George Michael at last night's Project Angel Food gala was great. And, yes to more bluesy recordings! It's been my hope since I heard him sing "Red House" (love, love, love---a forever favorite). It's that flavor he brought to "Whole Lotta Love" at Fantasy Springs, which made it so mind-blowing, and that he continues to inject into "Somebody to Love." He has an amazing soulful, bluesy side to his voice that I'd love if he used more. Or at least let the general, radio-listening public hear.He would mesmerize with ballads in that style and I also think he could successfully combine a powerful, bluesy, wailing vocal with modern pop rock-edged (or funk) instrumentation---like he did with his killer version of "Black Cat." I don't think many solo male artists are currently occupying that space. He could have that lane mostly to himself right now. I so wish he would lean into that rock-soul vibe. It's perfect for his voice. I would love that. I think a lot of people have been waiting for him to break from the pack cause he can. I think on TOH tour, especially in Europe, the press seemed to be expecting more of a rock edge than a pop edge. Maybe because of Queen. I mean, I love everything he has put out but he can deliver things that others cannot. He has the power to really wow people. I even love his TOH demo better than the way it was changed. So some bluesy-pop-rock edge would be fine with me. TBH, radio will or will not play whatever they want. If they want to play it on top 40 as well as other charts they will. I may be in the minority but I am rather glad that MM is not in the picture this time.

An interesting overview of most of Adam's singles: This was kinda interesting. Some of those tunes seem so long ago. This took some time to compile. The AMA performance seemed less "yikes" with this better audio IMO. Hearing what you want from me made think of this!
