dancygeorgia, how do I unzip the video file? On Windows, double-click on the zip file and then choose "Extract All" in the Explorer menu bar at the top of Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer). However, I've not had good luck with Mega downloading multiple files in a zip file properly. If the contents you get after doing the unzip does not look correct, just download each file separately from Mega without using the zip download. You can queue them up.

dancygeorgia, how do I unzip the video file? I just DLd it separately. I just wanted the one with Adam only. It doesn't take much time to do two things separately if you want both.

I fixed it. I pay to keep Adamtopia ad free for logged in members. I guess at the traffic because it is by number of page views. This month the traffic has been very high and we used up all of the August money. I just added some more. I have pm'ed you in the past and at times you messaged about stuff, yet avoided my question ---which meant "thanks but no"---and another very early on ---you were "ok"-- with a donation to Atop. Seems like a good time to help out and put towards my daily obsession. It is an addiction and I do not mind giving into it! How do we contribute to the site maintenance? Not needed right now but thank you. There are many other more worth places.

"I loved the RuPaul interview for many reasons but like many here, was also a bit sad to hear him come out so strongly negative towards the business side of the music business - I mean we all know it sucks and is depressing what's going on there, but to hear Adam say so was hard - he's always so positive towards almost everyone! I really hope he is getting some support from his current label, sure hard to see it (I follow them on a few social media and he's not mentioned much) - I would hate for him to be forgotten, his talent should be shared and appreciated so much more!" I brought this comment over from yesterday's thread and I wanted to comment on it. There was a syndicated radio show that Adam had an interview with in TOH era. I don't know if anyone remembers it but I think it was the pool party show. The DJ's were talking about how handsome he was and how beautiful his hair was. Then they made a comment about him on the radio. Adam cut in and said "I have a hard time getting radio play." Now I know many fans feel he gets a lot of radio play in the states but obviously he did not feel that way (neither do I) otherwise why say it. The DJ's fell silent. Now I did not pick up a high level of sadness in the RP interview that others did but he has to be aware that others are given the chance to get massive hits and maybe he would love some of that treatment. As for Warner Bros. Music, the major players seem to be more on the Atlantic Records side of Warner Bros. Music instead of the WBR side. Sheeran, Bruno, Charlie Puth, Wiz K. and now Kelly Clarkson who they seem to be heading for a big push and lots of support. Even Melanie Martinez, with very little radio play, got a platinum album off her first release and two or three platinum singles and I swear they have released about 5 singles for her. Now I don't know if this is still the case but Warner Bros. Records was once known for having more rock oriented success. With Adam hinting that he is going more Glamrock and alt maybe he will find more support. Lukas Grahm (?) and Muse are doing well. BTW, everyone seems to think he is releasing an EP this time. Is that a trend for WBR artists or is this something mainly for Adam? I don't feel WBR support this time around...something is missing...so my expectations are adjusted accordingly...I just want the new music to come out before the tour and hope they include another one of Adam's songs in the European leg. I think it is too soon to pass any judgment on WBR support. So far all we have is a buzz single that was not promoted. They usually are not promoted. The point is just to start the conversation about new music. I think TWO FUX has done that plus it worked with the QAL setlist pretty well.

Hey!
Shoutout to all in the pathway of Harvey. I was in Houston just three weeks ago . . . it was already a sauna, without the moisture of a hurricane. I hope everyone has found their 'higher ground' - and will be safe as Nature shows us who is boss.
For the past eight years, I've been at Burning Man. Part of the Emergency Medical Team. It's been tough, rigorous, challenging, selfless. The Playa is an ancient seabed, composed, now, of mostly potash. It is very toxic; very alkaline. The environment, while so given to the alien atmosphere, the amazing, futuristic atmosphere of Burning Man, can be devastating to those who don't pay attention. I've paid attention, so I'm fine. But, over 8 years, many of my 'patients' have been those who haven't really adhered to the principle of radical self reliance . . . a cornerstone of what this experience means for us. They come to 'medical station 9' for a bandaid, an eyewash (not wearing goggles in the dust), a foot soak (not wearing sox and boots on the playa), tampons . . . we take care of this, as well as the true medical emergencies we're there for. I've done it all, but this year I knew the dust had crawled in too deep. It would take more than months to refresh.
The playa is Burning Man, itself. The 'dust' is a soft warm flour. When it rises, often in the warm wind, it envelopes you and surrounds you in a cape-like heaven. You are alone in the swirling cyclone of warmth. As soon as it arrives, it leaves. You are transformed. You look around; and you're all of the same ilk. The dust has made you, and those around you, a dusty matrix of glow. The only thing that makes you different might be the feathers, or the chains you wear, or the cock-ring, or the boots, or the bell on your bike.
I'm not there this year. We chose this, months ago. Decided to see the USA - instead of the Playa. So, we've been to Chicago, DC, NYC . . . and many places along the way, all by train. Has anyone been to the 'salt lick' in Glacier Nat'l Park? The 'Newseum' in DC? Seen "Come From Away' on Broadway? I recommend them all! This summer's adventures have been wonderful and needed and amazing. In Montana, we shared three days at a mountain lodge with families who came with children with life-threatening conditions/illnesses. It was their 'make a wish' weekend. The people at the lodge were so understandably focused on their guests that the hanging flowers on the veranda, and the baskets of flowers on an old wagon out front were not getting the water they needed. No problem! This became a family affair - all it took was a hose and a rusty old can, and I spent an afternoon nourishing the plants, while the music and the singing and laughter from these families nourished me.
Yet, tonite, I'm missing this home; longing to be 'home'.
If Adam finds his way there, something in me will twist in agony!

Here is the link to the audio I ripped from the Project Angel Food Official video: tinyurl.com/ya9a2fmbNote that there is a folder for audio and one for video. The video file contains 2 video files extracted from YouTube in 720p MP4 format. One video is the full 28 minute tribute and the other video is just the 15 minute Adam performance. The audio folder contains 2 folders, one with audio in M4A format and the other in MP3 format. Note that the M4A audio is ripped directly from the MP4 video and is how YouTube stores the audio on its site. This is the BEST possible quality audio that anyone can extract from the YouTube site. The MP3 audio was created by converting the M4A files to MP3 files in iTunes. YouTube does not store audio in MP3 format, so it has to be converted from the M4A format. I added metadata tags to the audio so that it shows up nicely in smartphone apps, VLC Media Player, iTunes, and other audio players. I think I even FINALLY even got all "Angle" changed to "Angel" everywhere (obviously, I am into Math!). The audio folders contain 4 files. The first 3 files are the individual songs cut from the full audio. The 4th file is the full audio of just Adam's performance in 1 file. When you copy the full audio folder to a smartphone or PC, audio players will see the full audio file as the 4th song in the album. I included both image files in each audio folder. If you want to change which image file the audio is using for album artwork, you can change it in iTunes, Mp3tag (free program), or other software. Technical Note for those who want to know: M4A and MP3 are both "lossy" formats, i.e., when you convert to one of these formats, you lose quality. Even though the MP3 files have a higher bit rate, it is LOWER quality audio because you can only lose quality going from M4A to MP3. There is always a loss of quality going from one lossy format to another lossy format. FLAC audio is a "lossless" format, i.e., you do not lose quality converting audio to the FLAC format. However, converting from a lossy format to a lossless format does not gain any quality, it just produces a bigger file. So, I did not make a FLAC version of the audio because it would only be the exact same quality as the M4A audio but the files would be 5 times as big. Thank you Dancy! The video is stunning on my big iMac, audio is beautiful too, and I feel like I'm back there again, ahhhhhhh heaven!

Oh! I did the wrong thing. Hit the wrong thing, and my post was posted before I was ready.
Sorry.
I wanted to comment further (but maybe the computer sensed I was a little long-winded!) on the interview Adam had with RuPaul.
I know Adam is humble - but to feel, himself, that he's a 'solid c-list artist' surprised me. Is that meant to be humble? Cute? Honest? There is no way on this earth this man will ever, ever fade into mediocrity. Don't we all know this by now??
Indeed, if he does find his way to Burning Man, I'll be tempted to take up the offer to fly there, even for a day, to be among the amazing people who do everything they can to ensure a safe, meaningful, spiritual experience in the shadow of Black Rock.
That being said, I think I'll find my way to heaven tonight - listening to 'One More Try' - one more time.
