When Taylor releases it is almost impossible for anyone else to get any traction. As soon as one song leaves the number one spot she is right there with another to take it's place. Also with her high streaming numbers every single that she released blocked someone from a higher chart position with their album for months. It will be all Taylor for a long time now. BTW, we know Adam is no longer with Edge or with his publishing company. Do we know if he is with anyone else or does it matter when he does release something? Also does he have a producer for this era? If it matters, who would help secure him these deals, DMG or Warner? He has been saying he is going more glamrock/alt etc. and a change is good, imo. If he has support I think it would be well received. Hate to say it but that "Madam" ruins it for me. I know many love it so am only speaking for myself. So sick of Taylor already---I have a 10 year old daughter who will love everything she releases :( In terms of Adam, it is all a bit of a mystery. I just have a weird vibe that he is in some sort of transition. I am really not expecting any big name producers this time---just a feeling. Hopefully we will get a little news, but it just feels like he is a bit "on his own" in terms of creating new music.

Hopefully we will get a little news, but it just feels like he is a bit "on his own" in terms of creating new music. From all the news he got in the past two weeks about everywhere I am guessing there is another publicity company involved and it's more US focused. He's got some big news items about the George Michael tribute and also the Idol news. It wasn't a very high profile award show, but there were some of the bigger news sites there to interview Adam. They were invited for a reason. Deals about his music are probably mostly done by Warner I think. Appearances are done by DMG. I really am curious about his new music. It seems to me a lot has changed during the last year in what he wants to do and what he has done. He's done music in London last October already and since then has worked with quite some different people (including Nile) on music. Yet we don't hear much about it. The people he worked with are pretty big in the pop music scene by the way. They worked with a lot of big names also.

I think Taylor appeals to the angsty teens and preteens. She just seems so passive aggressive to me, a bit like the mean girls with a smile. Just my opinion, I know there are a lot of people that like her. I just think she found a way to market herself to a certain demographic and she works it....I don't find her genuine at all. I think if Adam sang that type of song all the time, slamming other people in songs...I would have dropped him immediately.
It's a tough business... I guess you do what you have to do to make it.

Publicity and publishing are two different things by the way. Edge was the Publicity firm and Kobalt was the Music Publishing firm but Adam's personal music publishing imprint was Glambert Music. Was there something different listed for music publishing on the Two Fux release?

Are you guys confusing publicity with publishing? Edge was his publicity company. I think his publishing company is Cobalt or something.

Adamtopians in and around Houston and the Texas coast.....we're thinking about you and praying you're safe. Yesterday we saw the coastal devestation and today the flooding in and around Houston is just horrible. I know graciejane said she was only 40 miles above Houston and from the news coverage looks like she's getting tremendous amounts of rain as well. Hope that little hill she lives on is holding out.
