It is slow and we have little to chew on at the moment so I thought I would forward/copy for you the cranky reply I sent to Live Nation. I received one of those "your opinion is important to us" emails asking me to fill in what I assume was a fairly lengthy survey...with no stated reward and an expectation that it would take approx. 20 minutes. I had the time so I started to reply...the first question [after gender] was birthyear. As soon as I entered it, the told me that was all the questions they had for me! This was my reply...I don't expect a reply from them but you all may have a similar experience, or things to add....or you may disagree with what I said. I have a meeting to go to now which will keep me away from here so if things get heated, it means nothing that I do not reply. If in your aggregate wisdom it is determined that my comment and reply are of no interest....it is what it is! "Clearly, you think old people's voices are useless to you as you had no interest in my opinions once you knew my age. FWIW, I go to more concerts now, have more interest in, and understand the music business better now than I ever did in my youth. My demographic is the one that still pays for its music. Ageism seems to be the last permissible 'ism' and it is so sad that the music industry goes out of its way to shoot itself in the foot in so many ways, it deserves to die. Concerts and touring are the last delivery system standing, financially, but wait...when groups start to see the value of digital 'tour/performance' delivery over bricks and mortar delivery, as many shopping sites have done, you may also become redundant." This has happened to me in the past so now I always make my age 30. Sad but true, we don't matter much in the music world or to radio stations. I lie to them all the time when requesting Adams music or filling out surveys like the one you mentioned. It make me mad to have to do it but at least my opinion gets through!

I really want Adam to have a cameo in the new Queen movie. Even if he plays some guy at one of Freddie's parties and has just one line to say, that would be fine with me. Am I foolish to hope? Nope. I am hoping for the same thing! It's only fitting that he is in it somewhere. I will settle for nothing less than Adam kissing "Freddie". I'm a sucker for "meta" moments.

He's the one who brought Queen back to life. He's the Gift From God. I'm sure that if he have even a small role, we will hear about it. Malik seems perfect as Freddie and I'm sure he will get lots of well-deserved media praise for his part. But I just want Adam to be a part of it in some way, too. He deserves. it. BTW, I have a sister in Ft. Myers, FL. She will be leaving town and staying with a friend quite a distance away from the Irma's path. I pray for all who live down there and hope they are getting as far away as possible.

I know the film ends with Live Aid but maybe they will have a small scene flash to Queen and Adam as they are today.

Mszue = I love your response. I think all of us have experienced discrimination due to our elder status. I lie about my age too when it comes to sites that I know I will be deemed irrelevant. I hate it but then I counter that negativity by thinking of all the things that I could now get away with as I'm now "invisible" to our society.
