The reality has just begun to sink in, how much has been lost by so many, many people. I spent last week putting most of my mom's possessions on the side of the street for trash pickup. We have gutted her home and are waiting for insurance adjuster to come this Saturday. It is completely overwhelming. We're trying to figure out where they are going to live until repairs are completed, which will take many months. There is no rental property, apartments or hotel rooms to be found in our area. I think we are going to try to get them an RV to live in, my brother is looking for one near his home in Austin. I finally started back to work today, but it is hard to concentrate when there is so much to be done at mom's house. I was watching the video below and started crying. Just terribly sad. At least 3 of my coworkers lost everything including homes and multiple cars. My supervisor lost her home and then today miscarried at 4 or 5 months. Everything is so stressful. I know we'll survive, but it will take years to recover from this. I'm putting the link for the video I was watching. This town is less than 20 to 30 minutes from me, just drove through it on the way to the QAL concert last month. The freeway there looked like an ocean and even had whitecaps! Have never seen anything like that before. Pray for Texas. www.cbsnews.com/news/winnie-texas-and-the-hurricane-harvey-victims-the-news-doesnt-show/

What lovely memories, Katycake. So glad you got to see them live in your own country! Yes Katycake! I think that concert and visit to Israel was special to Adam as well. He's mentioned it more than once when recalling special OAL tour stop locations. I know! I'm so glad he took that extra day to visit Jerusalem too.

Lulu. Just watched the video you provided. It's heartbreaking. For the people. For the animals. For the past and the memories. I wish I could apologize for Mother Nature. But she needs no apology. She is what is. And, what is, today, is sad. And then, it begins again - the spirit of rebuilding anew; because there's nothing else to do but start. Thank you so much for bringing this to us. There's always more to learn. More to do. Ways to help. Each of us, in our way, is sharing your burden.
