You are welcome....no comments came so I assumed nobody was interested...glad you enjoyed....It is pretty interesting. I tried watching it, but all the videos I clicked on told me to watch it on Netflix. I did watch the trailer so I got an idea of what it is about. The music industry is changing. I would think the big labels are scared -- but I have no idea -- maybe they have revenue sources other than album selling. It will be interesting to watch Adam's career progress. I wonder if he will try to branch out more -- movies, Broadway, etc. Because Jennifer Hudson is now a judge on The Voice, I've been thinking about how cleverly she and/or her people have managed her career. She is about the same age as Adam and has also produced three albums, but in the R&B genre so I've never heard her songs. Without looking into it, it seems that film and musical theatre and Weightwatchers have been more important to her success. Every higher level artist has a certain big breakthrough. In many cases, it's a hit song. But in JHud's case, it was getting that role in Dream Girls, which won her an Oscar. You can debate about whether she deserved an Oscar or not, but the point is, she WON it. It was a huge step for her. Her own music career was doing ok. But now she doesn't have to rely on it. That role was her "breakthrough." She gets acting roles and endorsements and commercials. Her music career is kind of on the back burner. Her Dreamgirls breakthrough also led to things like the plum job of being a judge on The Voice. She doesn't tour with her music, at least that I know of. She doesn't have to. She may never churn out albums and go on regular tours. I really hope that Adam gets an acting role that "breaks through" for him. Right now, he has QAL as a nice cushion. His own music is excellent, but it's really hard to break through with it without some huge promo and label backing. Thank God for Ghost Town. I hope that Adam can "diversify" just like JHud. Lord knows he's got the talent.

I'm quite confident Adam will diversify even more, once he's graduated queen college, given that he'll have more time on his hands...my feeling is that there is no lack of offers/opportunities but not enough time in one day... Chances we'll even get more solo music from him too then...

We all know the answer to that: Because it was a great song but was never released as a single!!! IMO, "Runnin'" would have been a big hit too but it wasn't even a regular song on any album. It was a bonus track! At some point, I remember Adam admitting that was a mistake. I remember that too. He said he "fu**ed" up. Love Runnin. One of my all time favorites. Pretty sure Runnin got bumped down to a Bonus Track when NCOE got added to the album. :(

I think Adam is extremely passionate about his music - he lives and breathes music - and for now I can't see him wanting it on the back burner. I also would like him to have the opportunity to diversify more, but more in support of him being a music artist. Another hit single would be nice.

I didn't mean to imply that Adam wants his music to be on the back burner. His music is his passion. But QAL has given him a lucrative "comfort zone" for a while. We'll never know what he'd be doing now if he never got the Queen gig. Maybe some other big thing would have popped up for him. Who knows? The ideal situation is to be able to move to one career "part" to another from time to time, without losing any ground. I think of Justin Timberlake, for example. He doesn't HAVE to just do music. He doesn't HAVE to just do acting. He's been able to spread out his career across many things. Jared Leto is another example. JHud was lucky to get that movie role. It changed everything for her. Like Justin T, she just becomes a media personality who can plop into various roles. And she is very safe and acceptable to a broad audience, very mainstream. Without Dreamgirls, she likely would be plugging along like so many others, hoping to get that next hit song. I predict she'll become a kind of fixture, showing up on various shows here and there. Doing occasional performances, maybe more acting if she's lucky. But I don't see her has a chart-topper. And she has very healthy endorsement contracts.

I'll take Adam anyway he wants to present himself but I do like to see the unfiltered pictures more. I'm still a fan of the makeup though!!! Love his edgier side!!!!!!!! Nice avi! I can't blame you for grabbing it right away haha. For me, it is one of the best pics I have seen of him lately. That look, in all its realness, is so sexy. Which brings me/us back to "unfiltered" Adam who many of us love. I can't wait to see that side of him in his new music. I am more than ready for his edgier side! YEP!!!!
