I had to smile in total understanding when she spoke about Adam. She started to stammer and hesitate as if she couldn't find the words to express how she felt. I feel exactly the same way. How can you describe your feelings about someone you've come to know and love so much? It was a real treat to hear her "gush" over Adam. Love it!

I wanted to share the photo of my happy place. I'm calling it my Fan Office. There they are - the most important men in my life. You know Adam but in the framed smaller picture there are my two sons and in the middle of them is my grandson (he is now 22 years old, his father is on the left hand side). Especially when I'm sad or worried and need some comfort I'll go to my office and log in Adamtopia and I'll get Good Day.

Hard to believe XFactor was a year ago. That whole experience was such a wonderful gift to fans.

First, Momtomany, I am so very grateful that you and your family are safe. Your poetic and heart wrenching words made me cry. As others have said, we here at Atop are crying for you.
So..... Post Something Good Day
This is something good, and is also an Adam story. It took place during the Glam Nation tour at his concert in Albuquerque (I had already seen Adam for my first concert in Denver a few weeks before). I spend time in both the Albuquerque area and southwestern Colorado, so it was my "hometown" concert. It was a GA concert at a small theater downtown, and so I was in line early. It was a hot day, and I am very heat intolerant, so I brought an umbrella, lots of water, a small beach chair, food, etc, and fortunately I was sitting under an awning that gave me some shade. I thought I was pacing myself very well.
My DH showed up about 1/2 hour before the doors opened (so grateful he was with me this night!). This is an old theater, and has very poor air conditioning. We got a place about third row center, and were packed in like sardines. Allison was his warm-up act, and I thought I was doing OK. After she left the stage, the last thing I remember Alan saying was "Are you OK?" as I was starting to see stars, and then I promptly fainted. Fortunately Alan was able to catch me on my way down, and security pushed through the crowd immediately to get me. I woke up as this huge dude was carrying me (how scary was that?), and he plopped me down in a chair backstage. Immediately I had people putting very cold bottles of water on my chest. I said as I came to my senses "I've been in line for almost 12 hours and I've lost my place!!". Security said not to worry, and right before Adam was to hit the stage they guided the two of us into the theater and put us in the front row on the right side. The funniest thing happened when two teenagers behind us asked "Are you his parents?!" - they thought we had to be VIP's to be brought in at the last minute like that! Security kept checking on me throughout Adam's time on stage, and fortunately I was OK in this new location, which was much less crowded. After the concert security came up to us and said that we could exit through the door at the front, instead of the back doors, which were the normal way out. They said we could go that way only if we went straight and didn't turn left (where Adam was, I'm sure). Boy, that was hard to do!! These security people were my angels that night, and I am forever grateful for them.
Yes, angels do appear in your life sometimes, and I hope that some angels can help our dear Momtomany through this horrendous time.

I'm sorry for your ordeal, momtomany, but glad you and your family are safe. I've been keeping tabs on the Nuns fire, the one endangering didilynn, because a cousin is also very near that (fire came to within 200 yards of his property!), and today it appears that the active burning there has ended. Hopefully for good! Still a lot of fire east of there though, so I hope the wind doesn't take it to new places.
ETA apparently the Nuns fire includes the larger part near Sonoma, which is still burning... I was looking at the paper in the state park north if Bennet Hwy.
