I think dogs are both resilient and get used to routines. And they know their "people". My dogs have adopted my grandchildren as their family, even though not here all the time. Unfortunately, my husband, semi-retired, taught the dogs that they don't get snacks until I come home. So now when I pull into the driveway at 7pm, I am met with the unholy cacophony of dog treat deprived canines. And if I come in at 9 or 10 or later, they are still waiting.
Pharaoh probably associates different routines with different people/houses. Dogs are smart that way.

Pharaoh probably associates different routines with different people/houses. Dogs are smart that way. Quite simply, Pharaoh has two homes, Adam's and Eber's. He seems comfortable in both. He knows his two main owners. As was said above, I'm sure Adam discussed al this with Eber before he got a dog, knowing he'd be gone for extended lengths of time. Nice that Eber can accommodate.

As Eber's sense of humour always has some meritious meaning....I feel for Pharaoh, who, as much as he is being cared for, has had so many significant caregiver changes. (my humble thinking) I think Pharaoh is probably fine. It isn't like he is passed around to several different places. My guess is Adam most likely discussed it with Eber before he adopted. Adam knew he would be spending time away. Over the years I have been the "dog and cat nanny" for my son's pets when they travel. They know me and my house well I think if a dog feels protected, secure in his environment, all his needs cared for, and has the is love and attention by the people around him...he's good.
