I agree that streaming is very important and I hope Adam can get on some great playlists. But most artists who are getting the big hits and good album sales and bigger tours are getting on important streaming lists, good radio play and performance appearances on the big award shows and/or SNL. No one thing is going to do it. I can't think of any artists who are doing really great who are getting shut out of any one of these areas never mind more than one. I am talking about the US. There are probably some examples but I can't think of them.

Getting those songs on the Spotify lists! TALCvids @talcvids Interesting read: Secret Weapon In Pink's Chart-Topping Strategy: Visiting Spotify Offices Around the World www.billboard.com/articles/business/8014766/pink-spotify-office-visits-chart-topping-strategy … There were a number of factors that helped P!nk land a No. 1 album this week, from a concert ticket/album sale redemption promotion to the music itself. But the artist had a third trick up her sleeve that could help sustain her going forward: she went on a world tour of streaming-company offices. "She spent a lot of time going into Spotify offices around the world -- literally, she went into Spotify offices in Berlin, in London, in New York, in Los Angeles. We also did the same for Apple Music," John Fleckenstein, evp of P!nk's RCA label, tells Billboard. "She really took the time to make sure that she went in and met with these accounts and established herself with them to make sure they understand." While artists have long made extensive rounds at radio stations in hopes of maximizing their airplay, acts are now increasingly touring streaming offices instead. A Spotify rep tells Billboard that it is now standard practice not only for artists to visit the company’s offices, but also for Spotify teams to spend time with artists in the studio, in order to get richer context around their music and creative process. Winning the support of streaming services is increasingly paying off for artists as their first-week buzz dies down. It's particularly important for artists like P!nk, since pop albums haven't been racking up huge streaming numbers in today's hip-hop-dominated universe. Many of P!nk's diehard fans, meanwhile, grew up in the CD and download eras. Fleckenstein says that the need to appeal to a younger streaming audience did not trickle down into P!nk’s creative output itself, but rather was simply a marketing imperative of the times. This is fascinating and really quite scary. If even the top artists like Pink find it necessary to travel the world making personal visits to streaming services, I can't imagine how artists even one tier below her can compete. I realize that marketing has always been hugely important, even before the dawn of the digital age. But this is beyond belief. I guess all we can hope for is that Adam can somehow promote himself in this way, too, doing the utmost he can, using his management and label as well as his own energies. Streaming and radio play. I guess that's the golden nugget. But even top artists have always done radio promo. Even Swift, even Katy, Kelly. This means they are switching their focus from Radio to streaming. Very smart! Also, it is great that radio is not the top dog anymore or the only game in town!

Some info from the Numbers thread about streaming: This tweet from Kelly interests me. I don't care that she is advocating mass, nonstop, streaming. But I am sure the reason is she wants the streaming numbers for her sales numbers, with an added bonus for one fan of getting a phone call. Soooooo, if the rumor is that only 10 streams count from one source, why would she be pushing this? Makes me think the " only 10 streams count" rumor is bullshit! I did a little Spotify experiment a couple of weeks ago with Adam's ALN remixes. I took those because those had very low streams per week so the effect of my own streams would be visible there. I have a premium account so that may be effecting it, but ALL my streams counted. 24/7 playlist (with one or two times the song added), 24/7 one song and 24/7 the album. They all got added to the numbers I saw in Spotify. Of course I don't know if they all count for charts as I don't know how they take that into account, but the number we see in Spotify counts all streams also if you stream 24/7!At the moment I'm not streaming 24/7, but letting my computer go to sleep mode in the night. I have to think about the environment a little and also my wallet as the energy costs went pretty high with 24/7 streaming. I will turn it up again when we get new music. We somehow need to convince more people to stream! That's the biggest challenge with his new music. Because it really helps!

The MAN does know how to take control and strut down a runway! IMO, this is the best Adam has ever looked! I know, crazy to say that since he is perfection all the time. But this night! This night! The styling, his confidence, the venue, the vocals..... it was BEYOND perfect! ❤️ Yes, this night was magical. What a glorious 20 minutes 4 years ago. I know several of us were there. This is when it all came together. I find myself remembering seeing those Louboutins for the first time and Adam later saying how much they hurt his feet. If you have a spare 20 minutes indulge yourself once again.

AFL a feast for the eyes. I think Brian said this was when the offers to tour starting coming in. You could see how pleased they all were at the end.

Thankful for Queen and Adam Lambert tours a HUGE and GREAT port in this musical streaming storm... To add I have never seen so much competition before ,there are so many singers out there.. and still the Voice,AI and other shows keep putting more singers out there with nowhere to go.. CRAZY ..IMHO,I think Adam planned his career brilliantly.

Adam did really steal the show that night. It was a remarkable performance really. Arguably the best performance in that Festival history. In a a festival where Katy headlined. And everyone was talking about QAL. That is no mean feat.
