augenpoesie, this is my first post since Munich - I was there too and I agree on crowd energy and the total bliss that was had, in fact my whole section on the lower rise was on their feet, but I think the setlist was awesome!! I wouldn’t change much except add more songs as the concert went by too fast. Loved WWFM btw. I think it works better than Two Fux.

hey Gabi! So great to hear from you. Did you get home ok? How was the flight? I also left a recap a few pages earlier. Again, so sorry for almost running by you at the end.
I just printed my travel documents for Vienna. So stoked!!!

Hey marionm , no worries... It was great meeting you and knowing now which face to put to your name I realize that it is difficult to get to meet and socialize with Glamberts when also bringing along non Glambert friends and relatives. My friend and I were running a bit late, and as you know we didn't get to our seats until 8pm. I had such a blast at the concert though and I enjoyed observing how "into it" the Europeans are. I was so incredibly proud of Adam and stoked for him and Queen. My friend went NUTS. She LOVED IT. She asked me right away when Q&A would be back haha...as if I knew. Sorry you didn't get to hear Two Fux live. I personally prefer WWFM, even though the song is not one of my favorite Adam songs haha. I arrived back in the US of A late last night. It was a very condensed trip for me filled with family visits/business (as we are also in the process of selling my parents' house near Deggendorf/Passau) and a whole lot of fun toward the end. Really, really cool that you have another Adam and Queen event to look forward to. I can not wait for your re-cap from Vienna!!! Take it all in and don't worry about documenting it too much. Cheers!

Hi Sizzling!
The setlist is awesome! No doubt bout that, BUT - there has to be a modification of some sort. I'd love to hear some fan favourites like White Queen or Princes of the Universe or something else. They are playing it too safe. WWFM is not my favourite song but it really was wonderful hearing it Queenified
But as I wrote this is really just a tiny critique. Everything else was more than perfect!!!!

I don't disagree that they could add some fan favorites here and there but may be it would be too confusing production wise. Not sure. But I think all their hits on the setlist are a must as some fans only see one show. Those who see several shows probably crave some variation. Time flew by way too fast and I needed MORE lol. Same goes for my friend - she didn't want to leave. She liked Adam during the TOH tour but couldn't get enough of him this time around with Queen. The shortest two hours in recent Adam history.
First things first: I`m glad I get to go to another one!!! and I`m glad to hear we were a outstanding audience (per comments on here). At the beginning at one point Adam was like...Munic, Munic Munic.
As I didn`t want to know any changes they may do for this leg of tour I was quite bummed to find out two days ago, that they had added WWFM to the setlist, supposedly meaning two fux is missing.
Yesterday evening. Anticipation overcame me. And this morning it was through the roof. It settled down again during the day. My friend and I took the train to Munic where we would meet my dad, who kept in contact, because he was just coming in from a business flight. On the train my friend and I would already start singing Queen songs (never mind those other passengers). The three of us went to eat. I saw a woman and later a guy in a Queen-T-Shirt wich each time made me think `"Yes Queen! Yes Concert! Yes Adam!!!"
When we got there there was quite a line which moved quickly. When we got to our seats mfirst reaction was: Holly mother of...WTF...JEEEZZUSS I can`t believe these awesome seats are ours!!! TERRIFIC view. Only ten minutes to 8 most of the arena was still empty and we were wondering, but it filled pretty fast, so they only ran 20 minutes late. mmadamimadamm contacted me if I was inside since she had heard people were still outside, since I was streaming. Not to long before the show started sizzling63 came who sat only two seats away from ours. I only got to know her biefly but she is one of the cooles gals I know. She was LIVING! (I beg your pardon for almost running by you when I was leaving )
Show started and out came the glittery explosion. His first outfit was particularly sparkly. The show went by so fast! We were rocking along to ABTD, through HTF into TYMD and FBG and all of a sudden Adam was in his Dolce&Gabanna suit. I love the sass of KQ, it has always been a favorite. Adam remarked if the joke "gives head" was understood here which promted me to after the show look if up. Aha Adam^^I still can`t believe they let him sit on that robot without security. I was a little bummed when yes WWFM meant no Two fux. DSMN (didn`t think the segway into DSMN was very smooth but what whatever) was a gem and I LIVE for the bicycle race skid...I just love the antic of that pink bicycle and the flowers...don`t ask me why. Again it all went by SOOO fast. GDML was sexy as always, and I always like to look out for certain vocal moments in IWIA. STL and CLTCL were pure fun and oh that "Whyyyyy" in UP!!! I very much love the attitude of IWTBF. Now WWFM. I was REALY skeptical about that and from the snippet we got from the rehearsal but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I had a good view of the lasers in WWTLF. The show was very fast pased so it was hard to take it all in sometimes. Brian looked mighty good on that platform! Radio Gaga BoRap and are always songs to get into.
My friend also very much enjoyed the concert. She came along because she thinks Adam is a awesome vocalist and she loves the music of queen. She said he did a mighty fine job. My dad...well...he`s not the most outgoing person but I did enjoy it and was very interested in the staging. He remarked afterward that Brian probably still plays very well. He`s not a musician and don`t ask me how but he knows good when he hears it. He also said that he knew more of the songs than he thought, he just didn`t know they were from Queen.
I hat ALOT of fun! I sang along and screamed my lungs out which anyone following my stream may have noticed. I wanted to make sure Adam at some point during the show heard me and I beg of you to leave me under the illusion he did.
Unfortunately I didn`t get to meet Betty but I will next week in Vienna
To sum up: I had a GREAT time. If I had to pick a "best part" it wouldn`t be Brian, it wouldn`t be Roger and no, I`m sorry to say this not even Adam...it`s the unique catalogue of music. I`m glad I get to do it again!
P.S. We were also handed a information booklet after the concert. It hat a well researched biography of Adam in it and it and was very positive about him. I`ll post a picture of it tomorrow (later today) and a translation. On our way home we heard Bayern1 who was involved in hosting the concert and they talked quite a bit about the concert praised Adam and how he grew in his collaboration with queen. Something quite a few people on here have said. The feedback Bayern1 got from the concert was apparently positive through and through.
PPS.: I appreciate the info about new music, that the album isn`t done yet. At least some information.
Good night maybe I`ll have something to add tomorrow...and thanks for reading the hole thing lol
Hey marionm ! I am catching up today ... Thanks for the recap and your nice words about me! Likewise What an amazing night it was!! I definitely took in every second of it, "living" it. The setlist is so dynamic and crisp by now that it is hard to process it all at once. Good to hear that radio station Bayern1 gave it a positive review. Agreed that decades later the Queen catalogue is still an absolute highlight, and what an incredible blessing that there is this one special singer who has the vocal capabilities, artistic sensibilities, and total stamina to bring their bombastic music back to life and do it more than justice.
