For anyone who wants to catch that note on that amazing full concert video, UP is at 1:09. “Why” is at 1:11:50 I have been watching this concert on and off all day. It is just amazing. The person who recorded the video did an incredible job. They must have known the concert progression well because the zooming is topical, deliberate, and at a pace that rarely blurs. You get the whole stage and each individual band member, plus some great panning shots of the arena. I really hope dancy is wonderful yet again (she has done so much) and gets us a 1080p download because I really want to save this one to watch over and over. I'm afraid to close my browser because I don't want it to go away. I've ripped it from the YouTube in several resolutions. Will take a day or 2 or 3 to get it uploaded and transferred to devenlane's site.

I've been watching on and off all day, too, when I get a chance. And yes, that high note in Under Pressure is a moment to behold! It just came out of nowhere! The urge just must have hit him and he went for it, full and glorious and perfect. And along those lines, I just have to say that I think that Adam has reached a new peak during this tour. How can that be? How can be improve on perfection? Even Bonnie McKee says he's the best singer she's ever worked with, and that's saying something! But isn't there a richness and that's even richer now? A tone that's even more precise and nuanced? I think it's true. He is smooth as silk, yet he has that sexy rock edge, that amazing depth that has both grit and velvet. I don't think it's just my imagination!

I have longed for him to go for that high E in UP ever since Kiev. Finally got it! Stellar! Me too---that note thrills me to the bones and I, also, have been waiting since Kiev ,to hear it again. So incredibly beautiful ----almost like a battle cry to the masses !!! Oh -I also had car damage years ago-all because of listening to Adam's cd while driving home from work! Drove right into the car in front of me while waiting at a stop sign. When the driver came over to approach me, he looked so puzzled as he asked me,"Are you okay lady, what happened?" I was fortunate that he was so kind, but there was no way I was going to tell him what distracted me!!! And---I don't listen to Adam when I'm driving any more...

Oh you guys crack me up! All those car misshaps because of Adam^^...
Thanks Cassie for your explanation. Not a pro of course but I think I actually hear what you mean when you say the moving up to that note sounds strained. I've recently learned about the "Fächer" in opera from my vocal teacher who is a classical singer as well and how you grow into certain "fächer" as the voice matures. That was very interesting and it made sense to why Adam would say he wasn't sure he was up for the task vocally at first.
Did any of you catch "Chris Capelles" comment under Adams Facebook video of WWFM in Vienna? He said: is it weird that he likes Adam Lambert, he's 70 years old. There are a TON of comments saying "no it's not weird I'm alos so-and-so old" it's funny and cute;
P.S.: A bit of topic but they both toured with Adam last. Holly and Terrance seem to both be in the the fox production of "a christmas story". So cool, that they work together again!

I felt a change during the QAL summer festival tour last year. The 2015 QAL was so wonderful that I thought at that time that nothing would top it. Then we had that amazing TOH tour. Yet at Rock in Lisbon and the incredible Isle of Wight Adam surprized me again. He keeps working on expanding his range. His lower notes got rounded (if its the right word to say) and he has more power in the lower register now. The high notes are more polished as if they needed even more polishing . I'm glad QAL did new arrangement for STL, included Bicycle Race (which sounds like a part of an operetta) and we get the grit in GDML. To be able to sing different types of songs in a single concert, each requiring a different approach...I don't know any singer alive beside Adam who can do this at this level. And somehow he gets better at it ...I've heard opera singers sing pop and rock songs yet they sounded like an opera singer doing a pop song.The way he sang WWTLF in Denver last summer left me speechless To go from that very gentle begining to those powerful notes so efortless, its what stunned me in Mad World back in 2009. One of the things I love about Adam as a person is that he doen't stop working on improving himself, that he strives to be better. I mean he could have easily kept singing the way he did in 2012, didn't have to bother to learn more, to work more on his gift from nature, yet he doesn't stop. It shows me that other people can do this to but they simply don't apply themelves. How does that saying goes... "Practice makes perfect" PS cassie I adore reading your posts

The job demands it, and he is obviously up to the challenge. And thanks, Cassie. I love posting here. It's a real home for me. I can be as BSC as I want to be and everyone here will understand.
