“Adam that I felt had disappeared for awhile. He toned down, wanted main stream success, or whatever. AND, I don’t really blame him for that. He’s smart. BUT - I missed the free-spirit Adam - he wasn’t really showing that to his public” 100% sure that was due to RCA! His new label believes in him as he is. Listen to the lyrics of There I Said It. And Heavy Fire. 99% sure that both of those are about his RCA experiences. And OFC, we can not minimize the experience and confidence QAL has given him. He also has said that their songs are so OTT it allows him to be “ridiculous”

I would like to add to those who think Adam is doing some of his best work. What I notice is that Adam is at his best when Adam in unleashed. The choreographed routines limit his free spirit persona when more of the concentration is dependent on what others are doing. The AMA's where he had to work with all those dancers instead of doing his thing and showing the world what HE could do was lost, imo. I hope he will get that chance again on a big US tv event. Yes with Queen he is at the top of his game but it is still Adam. With a good band supporting him, I see no reason why he cannot let this vocal and showmanship side of himself show. I don't think it was the OTT or sexy Adam that American tv was unready for but the man on man action was unwelcomed. US tv is still unready for that and probably won't be in the near future in this climate. So I think OTT/sexy Adam and m/on m are two different things for the viewing public but both took a hit unfortunately. But I have faith that his time will come again to put on a performance on a huge US tv event that will have everyone talking about HIS fantastic voice and showmanship style like they did at Iheart and EMA's.

Talking about Adam unleashed and being himself, someone recently asked him on Twitter why he was selling his house and he replied (quoting from memory) that Change Fuels Creativity.
I know both Roger and Brian have recording studios in their homes and I wonder if Adam may be looking for a home where he can have the same kind of thing?
We know he likes to write with others and being such a sociable person who loves entertaining I could easily imagine him wanting some kind of home set-up where he can invite other songwriters round for brainstorming sessions, rather than always having to go somewhere else.

Amen to all you said. I think this second QAL tour will be a kind of turning point for Adam. He's been through a real metamorphosis in terms of experience, stage show production, touring, etc. He'll come out of this tour with his own new music staring him in the face. What will be do? His campy, sexy, androgynous Queen persona fits him SO WELL. He was born to be that way. What will we get in 2018, music-wise and performance-wise? I have always LOVED the grittier, sexier, riskier Adam from the very beginning. I never wanted him to have to tone it down. But I realize that marketing yourself to a mainstream audience is a real challenge when you're a "non-mainstream" performer. By all logic of talent, etc., Adam should be filling arenas as a solo act. But that's not the reality. He doesn't "blend." And I don't want him to. I hope Adam can come out with guns blazing with A4, a hit song or two under his belt and a solo tour in the works. The TOH tour was great! I just think he has the ability to take it to another level given the chance. And do it on his own terms, being who he wants to be. He's already proved that people love him as his true self.

OMG! Is this the real cover or a photo-shop? It's utterly gorgeous! That cape is one of the best props he's ever had. And boy, does he know how to use it!
