EenieMeenie I totally understand what you mean...I streamed and viewed the hell out of "two fux" this summer and actually listened to it on repeat. I've gone over/back to my Adam playlist, while having "two fux" on in the backround muted...I fell in love with the music all over again!

I would like to add to those who think Adam is doing some of his best work. What I notice is that Adam is at his best when Adam in unleashed. The choreographed routines limit his free spirit persona when more of the concentration is dependent on what others are doing. The AMA's where he had to work with all those dancers instead of doing his thing and showing the world what HE could do was lost, imo. I hope he will get that chance again on a big US tv event. Yes with Queen he is at the top of his game but it is still Adam. With a good band supporting him, I see no reason why he cannot let this vocal and showmanship side of himself show. I don't think it was the OTT or sexy Adam that American tv was unready for but the man on man action was unwelcomed. US tv is still unready for that and probably won't be in the near future in this climate. So I think OTT/sexy Adam and m/on m are two different things for the viewing public but both took a hit unfortunately. But I have faith that his time will come again to put on a performance on a huge US tv event that will have everyone talking about HIS fantastic voice and showmanship style like they did at Iheart and EMA's. Queen really is the perfect gig for him, and I think it is more than appropriate to take a moment here and there to really appreciate the magnitude of this collaboration where Adam has the opportunity to let his vocals, his showmanship and his personality shine on such a big platform. Coolest thing that people are loving it. About his solo career... I really, really liked TOH tour. My favorite so far. He had fantastic dancers for some numbers, an awesome and supportive band, and to me it seemed like Adam definitely had the freedom to be himself. I agree that the large production at the AMAs years ago was too stiffling, but an even bigger problem for me was that he chose a song that didn't show what an extraordinary and charismatic singer he is. Additionally, his nerves got to him and he was vocally off. Moving forward, I am craving kick ass music and people feeling it, and the amount of "unleashing" will likely follow. I am not sure how much OTT I can personally handle - no need for me to revisit the shticks of GN times - but free and happy Adam usually turns out quite well.

And, just one other thought that seems to be a recurring revelation (or relief) for me as an Adam fan. He seems to really know who he is - I felt he lost himself for awhile. It was his Zodiac performances, his Glamanation tour, his first NYE performance - all the “out of the box” creative and more daring performances that I really LOVED him for - not the usual formula, that’s for sure. I recall that first interview after the AMA’s where he reacted surprised that parts of his performance had been edited for the West Coast viewing public and made the double standard comment. THAT’s the Adam that I felt had disappeared for awhile. He toned down, wanted main stream success, or whatever. AND, I don’t really blame him for that. He’s smart. BUT - I missed the free-spirit Adam - he wasn’t really showing that to his public much. It just seems to me that side of Adam is coming back into play. He seems to have a renewed courage to show that side of him once again. Obviously, the Queen experience has given him the freedom to bring that to the stage. And, I hope that creatively we’ll continue to see that daring and free-form spirit that just lets him “be”.As Adam said himself, it feels good to perform all these classic hits with Queen and people immediately getting into it, as they know the songs by heart. That super positive vibe sure helps with the overall spirit and the "show" aspect of the concert. When Adam started out with Queen he was really good, but understandably he held back a bit more as he was still trying to prove himself. By now he knows people are getting it and they love it, and I can see how happy and free he feels to put on a show! Therefore, I do hope that his new music will "connect", regardless how important the commercial aspect for Adam is by now, but when people sing along and celebrate, the spirits can only be high and Adam will likely feel free to just "be".
