....or may be album related...either way it’s great! If Adam DOES get the part in JCSS Live, and I certainly hope that he does, then would he be able to make all of the rehearsals before the live performance on April 1 since he'll be in New Zealand and Australia in February and part of March? That leg of tour is barely 3 weeks even allowing for travel and a bit of rehearsal. I have to think something significant is on adam’s plate because taking the tour and all that it entails that far and for only 10 dates really doesn’t make much sense otherwise.

Hopefully HIS album. He has been off the radar screen way too long. If he has a part in JCS, that would also likely include a cast album but that shouldn’t long to record. I completely agree with you both! He has been off the radar too long, finishing up recording his album would be great, and it shouldn't take to long to record a cast album. I also think that JCS would be perfect to put him back on the radar, better than multiple radio concerts. Hey, maybe studio in January means he has no time in the early weeks of February and all of March because he has to be "on set"!!!! Some tinhatting is just hard to suppress. :D Adam is touring NZ and OZ with Queen in Feb and March. So I am not sure when if he has got JCS, when he would shoot it on set.

It's live, there is no shooting schedule, just rehearsals, and the AU-NZ tour is only from mid-Feb, to the 6th of March. Given that he travels back with the time and not against it, he could be on set by March 8, still jetlagged, but otherwise ok.
I would assume that they have rehearsals throughout that first quarter, but they probably could work around Adam's schedule, if need be. Again, I have no idea whether he has a role, especially not one of the three big ones (Jesus, Judas, Mary Magdalena), but something seems to be up, so we just have to wait and see.

If Adam could be in rehearsal for JCS by March 8, that would be sufficient time to rehearse for the live show on April 1. The director would have done all the planning and prep work previous to that. He/she could have done some basic blocking of the show with substitutes for the players who were not available earlier. I found this quote about rehearsal time:“Budget one hour of rehearsal for every minute of stage time.” -Aaron Frankel, author of How to Write a Broadway Musical
A two hour show is 120 minutes. 120 hours at 40 hours per week is 3 weeks.
Others say more like 4-6 weeks, or 6-8 weeks. So, it varies greatly. But, when working around the schedules of a "star", often the rehearsals start before the star is available, and someone else walks thru the scenes for them as they are being worked out.
Also, time is money. It is incredibly expensive to pay many in demand stars for multiple weeks of rehearsal (and I expect that they are going to have a roster of multiple big stars in order to sell this production). By having stand-ins while doing the basic staging, there is less "standing-around-waiting-and-trying-different-things" for the stars who get mega bucks for reserving their time for a long period in prep of a one time performance. Much of the tech rehearsal time can also be with substitutes.
Yes, 3 weeks would be a crunch, but not impossible. Depends how bad they want Adam.

The worrywart in me hopes that Adam stays healthy while in London, and doesn't socialize and handshake and hug too much. Big shows coming up! ...and doesn't lick the mic oh...I can't even go there...

I always worry about him getting sick and how he pushes through even when it's hard. In all the years he's been performing I can only remember two times he has cancelled. Two times? I can only remember Brussels. Which one was the other time? Ok...let's keep our fingers crossed for a grand finale of the European tour!!!
