Here's an oldie but a goodie: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeBw-I8g2swQuite a few years ago there was a young woman working with me who was quick to dismiss Adam without really listening, just because he came from a reality show. I found out she liked Muse, and asked her if she liked Starlight, and she said sure, it's a great song. So I sent her two of Adam's performances of this song - this one, and one from the Idol tour. When I asked her the next day what she thought, she said "gosh, it's a BEAUTIFUL song, isn't it?", and I said yes, we'd already agreed to that, but what does she think about Adam's version of it. And then she said she really enjoyed it and he's a very good singer. Only later I realized, when I thought about it, that when she said it's a beautiful song, she actually meant that after hearing Adam singing it, she saw how beautiful the song really was. Haven't listened to that for ages. I love the relaxation in his voice. Just beautiful tone and pretty simple.

I am not defending that poster, who complained about Glamberts, I have no idea who she is, and yes, she is not exactly endearing herself in the way she writes, but anyways, I just want to comment on two remarks that I have read in various form on the previous pages. I am just quoting them neutrally, I am not responding to a specific post. Quote 1: "That's what fans do, we are not the only fan base who acts BSC when they want something for their guy." Absolutely true, but what argument is that? If the police stops you speeding at 90 m/h, are you going to try to argue that there are others that are speeding too? Quote 2: Fan behavior has no bearing on who gets chosen for a part. Maybe not quite this drastic, but he is going to think twice the next time how and when he chooses to announce something, because he knows it will mess up his timeline, and then the announcement is made based on such twitter user criteria, instead of based on what is best for the project or for Adam himself. That sucks, and should not have to be that way. And anyways, while I cannot speak for the artistic world, but if you think that i.e. in corporations people don't lose out on job promotions, because their promotion comes with baggage or some unwanted drama, then I have a bridge to sell to you reaching from down in the mail room all the way to the board room. So, you guys want to sell to me that in the artistic world things works all differently, then good luck with that one. I'm all ears. Of course, none of us can control the whole fan base, and every artist will have a few idiots to contend with, but the Glamberts are well known for their massive online presence, and many in the industry have commented on what they experience, once the fan base descends on them. We should at least not entice those behaviors here to the extent that we can influence this either here, or on twitter, or elsewhere. Just asking everyone to take it easy.

So far, they ain't rollin'. LOL I think they left their offense in Tuscaloosa. I have the sound turned down way low on the TV and am doing other things. It's less stressful that way...lol.

Oh, how right you are! I am just going to watch some of my favorite Adam videos to try and cheer up over half-time. This game is all too dismal....so make me happy QAL...

I'm not gonna be blind and say that if fans take it too far and it gets out of hand it might not end up hurting Adam in some way.
Absolutely yes, other fanbases root for their faves as well, which of course shouldn't be an excuse to be nice and keep it real...
what people have commented on is that for example radio stations got a big reaction on Twitter if they did a poll for fan questions or so, but to my recollection never heard about rude behavior...and I want to throw in that we follow Adam closely but we don't know if other stars hear the same thing about their fans...
I only once checked the reaction to the Jcs guy on Twitter, when he said further roles will be cast and announced...what I saw there was excitement and anticipation, but nothing that I would deem problematic

Twitter is strange. On one hand, you get useful data if you are selective when you follow (or block). One the other hand, you can get snowed under by tweeters who think they have a legitimate opinion, even if they are bsc. I'm very careful on my follows.
