Finally, I just watched a live version of a concert production of Jesus Christ Superstar (filmed in from a live tour) on my tv Amazon Fire stick. I think I'll watch it again tonight. I had seen the movie but was trying to find a stage production so I would have an idea of what to expect. More excited than ever now. Almost no dialogue and very contemporary. I must say Jesus was awesome. Vocally Judas was not as great but he was very good. Adam could totally take this Judas but I have a hard time seeing John coming close to this Jesus. But we shall see. Would love to see Adam go toe to toe with this Jesus. It would be absolute heaven. If Adam has the part of Judas, I wounder if they will allow him to go all out? Andrew Lloyd Webber came on stage at the end of the production. Now if Adam does have a part, how do we know it would be Judas and not some other smaller part? Is it only based on his desire to play that part? Man, I sure hope he has this thing cause he would be perfectttttt. It'll be interesting to see if they go all contemporary for JCS. I enjoyed the original movie, but didn't like the 2000 contemporary movie at all. I think it was because the Judas was so awful. I found a live production on Youtube from The Netherlands done in 2005 and the venue looks like what I would imagine the one in Brooklyn might look. It was 150 amateurs and I thought the singers and audio were great. They followed more of the original movie look. There was entering and exiting thru the live audience, etc. The Youtubes weren't all that professional, but the audio was really good. I think the guy here who played Judas was really good and he seems the closest to Adam I have seen thus far. If anybody wants to watch this version here's the playlist. This is the Dutch Judas singing Superstar. I love this version. The singer is really good ... but OMG Adam would be spectacular!

Yes, he's very good...... skaschep do you know this guy, Jan Dulles?.....but like you said Adam could blow the roof off! This dude's kinda rock style seemed more like how Adam might perform the song. I'll see if I can find the 2013 London version and see if I like the production.

lurleene.....Is this the one you watched with Tim Minchin as Judas. Sorry.....I don't like him at all...altho I see he has some fans in the comments. I had seen this production, but didn't like this Judas and didn't watch the rest of the production. I'll go back and view it from a production point of view.
