My morning so far... I woke up from a dream (nightmare) about Adam. He didn't get the Judas part. The director had decided to go a "different direction". I was telling my DH about my dream and describing all the JCS speculation as too much "sturm und drung". He thought that was a bit dramatic. We started talking about JCS in general and my DH said he thought Alice Cooper was perfect for Herod. (My DH also thinks Adam is perfect for Judas by the way.) Then he said "I wonder what Alice Cooper's real name is?" So I googled it and this is what came up! Alice Cooper stars as Judas - Jesus Christ Superstar on NBC Adwww.nbc.com/ Live in concert, the groundbreaking rock opera comes to NBC, Sunday April 1.
My stomach dropped and my DH went "Oh my god!" as I opened the link. Of course there was nothing there about Alice Cooper OR Judas, just the NBC press release about the live concert coming on April 1st but for a moment there we both panicked. (I wonder how google came up with that headline?) Then my DH said, "I guess your morning has been the perfect definition of sturm und drung afterall." He's right! oh no, an awake nightmare. Good thing is was semi-resolved quickly. I hope when we get the real news we all won't be in sturm und drung.

He will have management and likely already has/had it in the works ready to sign as soon as the DMG contract terminated, the question is who is it. On a practical level, how would that work? If the speculation is correct and Adam has JCS, there would have had to be contact between Adam and JCS well before now - probably months before now. If he were approached before the termination of his contract with DMG (or if his name were presented to the JCS folks for consideration), then I'd think DMG would have been involved in the negotiations and, if so, would expect to be compensated accordingly. Unless Adam were to tell the JCS peeps that he couldn't do any negotiating until the DMG contract ended, which would seem a dangerous gambit if it were something he really wanted, not to mention wildly impractical from the production's POV, I don't get how there could be a deal ready to go now that would not have involved DMG. Just talking out of my ass here, but it doesn't make sense to me. The only explanation that would make sense in my mind is if the split with DMG took place much longer ago than the web site change would indicate. I would think there are certainly some overlapping projects. The details of compensation due and handling would have been negotiated in the original management contract and likely reaffirmed upon dissolution of said contract. And yes, it is possible the notification to terminate the contract was issued at some point in the past, again likely a contract requirement. Each party of the contract would be required to hold up their obligations until the actual termination date. This is just routine business.

Thanks for checking. Wonder what that means as far as his current management, if any. Wonder how long he's been off the list. You'd think DMG would have played a role in any JCS possible push or negotiations. I just don't know. LOOKS LIKE ADAM IS CHANGING LOTS OF THINGS,SHOSHANNA ,DMG AND SELLING HIS HOUSE.. IMHO A NEW DIRECTION ALL THE WAY ROUND.. ON SELLING HOUSE ADAM SAID IT WAS "GOOD FOR CREATIVITY." I'M SO HAPPY ABOUT DMG AND SHOSHANNA. IMO ADAM NEEDS SOME FRESH IDEAS AND VERY ASSERTIVE FOLKS WORKING FOR HIM. MAYBE HE HAD TO WAIT FOR CONTRACTS TO END BEFORE HE COULD CHANGE.
DURING AN OLD INTERVIEW ADAM CITED THAT INORDER TO GET AHEAD IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS A GREAT MANAGEMENT TEAM IS MOST IMPORTANT He also is no longer with his publisher. Hopefully new changes will be great for him. And I hope the recent removal from the DMG website means some new announcement is in the works from different management. If he has new management, it is good to have it in place before new music is released. If I remember correctly, the management change to DMG was in the middle of Trespassing release.

You may be clairvoyant, just slightly off on the subject on who was “going in a different direction”.

I don't see how him changing managements, and ending ties with DMG. Would have anything to do with a contract with NBC/JCS. But what do I know.
I always liked Shosh. She had a big part to say in making Adam taken seriousley in the UK market. But it is probably best new ideas. Adam always says he doesen't like doing the same thing for too long. Creativity and all.
As far as Adam and Judas goes. He followed Xfactor OZ in the past he got that gig. He followed RHPS in the past he got that gig. Now he is following the network who well air the production NBC and everyone else involved. Well it turn out to just be fans assembling peices of information and saying it is evidence lol? Not sure. But I Think it is a bit more then just fan speculation. Well see. Hopefully they confirm who is playing the role soon. So either way Adam fans can move on lol.

since we're all kind of bored and waiting on the edge of our seats for news...I just came across that I've never listened to the studio version of "A change is gonna come". I was wondering, which songs Adam recorded in the studio on Idol? which week did that start? The recordings started at Top 13: 13. Black or White (Michael Jackson) 12/11 (Double Elimination). Ring of Fire (Johnny Cash) 10. Tracks Of My Tears (Smokey Robinson & the Miracles) 9, Play That Funky Music (Wild Cherry) 8. Mad World (Tears for Fears/Gary Jules version) 7 (Part I). Born to be Wild (Steppenwolf) 7/6 (Part 2 - Double Elimination) If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) 5. Feeling Good (Muse version) 4. Whole Lotta Love (Led Zeppelin) and Slow Ride duet with Allison Iraheta (Foghat) 3. One (U2) and Cryin' (Aerosmith) 2. Mad World reprise (not recorded), A Change is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke) and No Boundaries Footnote: the iTunes version of Tracks of My Tears was different from the live performance. The audio recording used the original Motown backing tracks.
