Piano buying incident?...now I'm interested! I don’t remember the specifics — it was a little after the GlamNation Tour which Adam’s brother Neil was very involved with - Neil wanted a piano and made a mention of it - someone please, correct me if I’m wrong, but many fan donations were made to his fund to purchase Delilah. Oh how ridiculous!

Oh how ridiculous! Neil didn't just casually mention he wanted a piano. He campaigned for it to Adam's fans. It was a truly disgusting thing, IMO. I think he thought it was hilarious that he could raise over $2000 for himself just because he was Adam's brother.

I remember Adam saying to Neil I would have bought you a piano ,why didn't you tell me you wanted one.. I think Adam was embarrassed, he has class.Would never ask for anything from his fans

oh wow!!! That does sound bad! Adam has put charity first since he noticed that people wanted to give him stuff...basically since his first birthday in public life. The only thing Adam ever asks of us is that we buy his music and to come to the show. (and maybe spread the word about him and his music) The fact aside that Neil has a popular fortunate brother...doesn't he have a decent job himself?

Neil has a decent job now, but he did not back then. But still, he should have asked Adam rather than his fans.

I think he thought it was hilarious that he could raise over $2000 for himself just because he was Adam's brother. Uhm, people the piano buying thing was a massive joke to start with. Neil's sense of humor was in play and it started out with pledges of donations of a penny or 10 cents. There was much laughter over it. I think but am not sure that it was after his snarky help us win a sofa campaign where he laughlingly called on the Glamberts to vote on some furniture store contest thing. It was more driven by a couple of hard core Glamberts who convinced him to actually set up a donation page. He had some youtubes up of his playing and some of the fans pestered him in to putting the page up with a promise to upload a video of his playing something if he actually got it. You may not realize that Neil actually had people who were also fans of his own humor, snark, writing, etc. Most of them were trying unsuccessfully to get him to start blogging again. I feel Neil actually lost a bit with his brother's fame because he had to shut down his blog completely due to the more obnoxious Glamberts. To frame the situation as Neil begging for fans to buy him a piano is completely false.

Oh yeah, Neil is gainfully employed and doing very well I'm guessing. This piano incident was quite awhile ago. People were just in a very giving mood! eta: .....and Adam has said that Neil is a better piano player then he is a singer. There's a clip on the Diva show that Adam did of Neil playing a little piano with Adam warming up (or singing a little).
