Basically Adam's telling us there's still a lot of work and a long way to go till new music is released. I'm trying to think of a reason why, after so much work, he still has such a lot of work ahead of him, and why the tune is changed so drastically since the "just a few polishes and it's out" interviews. And I'm not buying the "went in a different artistic way" explanation that was given here by a few people; A good song is a good song, and the same song can be done in various different stylistic manners, be it pop, blues, rock, what have you, if you want to change your stylistic direction. I don't believe Adam would trash all his work from the last year because he decided to go in a different direction.
Question: if Adam's changed labels, would he be able to release the songs he'd written and recorded while he was still contracted under his previous label? Or does he have to start all over again? I hope the answer is not what I think it is. I'd hate to miss out on whatever song/s he wrote last year with the duo who co-wrote TOH and After Hours...

Born in Nashville, the soulful artist grew up surrounded by music, guided by his grandfather, a former vaudeville singer. Based in both New York City and Los Angeles, Morgxn signed with Wxnderlost Records and released his debut track, "Love You with the Lights On," in 2016. Later that year, he issued a cover of Duran Duran's "Notorious" and the thumping rocker "Home." The popularity of the latter -- which spawned remixes by LEFTI, Joywave, and Toy Armada -- helped the artist exceed four million online streams. In 2017, he issued "XX" and "Hard Pill to Swallow." www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/7401049/morgxn-love-you-with-the-lights-onmorgxn is a fresh indie pop face whose sultry melodies were born at a young age, when the Nashville native's grandfather, a Vaudeville singer from the same circuit as the legendary Eddie Cantor, helped spark his deep love for singing and songwriting.

I don't think Adam infered or implied their is a "long way to go". Seems to me the new era is just around the corner. And by saying low cook. He is letting it simmer before he goes out on tour.

Check out this list: There the always yummy Adam Lambert, the supert-iconic Kristin Chenoweth, House of Representatives minority leader/RuPaul superman Nancy Pelosi to start with– ARE YOU GAGGING YET? – as well as (DEEEP BREATH) Garcelle Beauvais, Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman, Emma Bunton, Tituss Burgess, Nicole Byer, Chris Colfer, Todrick Hall, Vanessa Hudgens, Marc Jacobs, Shay Mitchell, Vanessa Williams, and Constance Zimmer. I'm a little suprised that the new music takes longer than planned. I had hopes we might get the name of the single or the album by the end of the month. Now it seems all is delayed until at least after QAL in OZ. Adam might want to avoid repeating the Tresspasing situation though, when we had a date and then it was delayed again and again. That time it was cause they were adding songs & changing their minds. This time Adam does not want to give us wrong information.

It seems like he has no idea when the new music will be released, but certainly nothing before the next leg of the tour, and the "long way to go" is suggested by the "slow cooking" and "low heat" phrases.
