Yay!!!New music! But, he is basically telling us it is in the early stages. And I do think if he is "going in a new direction" he might very well have "trashed" the stuff he was working on last year. That happens all the time. Don't think he is with a new label. If he was, I don't think he would still be on the WBR website I am sticking to my theory of the plan changing from EP to a full album. He used the word "album" on Chatty Man and now "new era" - both a big change from the previously used "project", "music" (but NEVER "album") obviously going from 5-6 songs to 12-14 requires time even of all the old songs are still being used...or may be the whole album is being written anew... one thing I am sure about: Adam looks very happy! </img> So much speculation about this new music! I think he has re-thought what he's been working on, adding to it or just starting over. He said he's got a lot of studio time booked. Has to take advantage of it with QAL hovering soon. I sure hope we get a new full album before the end of the year. Even THAT is a long time away. I want a solo tour SO BAD. As for Morgxn, I only know what I just read on this thread. He sounds very interesting. I love the phrase "sensual R&B influence." Sound like a sound that Adam could latch onto and do well with. I just want him to get a couple strong charting songs out of all this, enough to do a solo tour and keep the Adam Train rolling! And I WONDER IF THE JCS ROLE IS STILL OUT THERE JUST WAITING TO BE ANNOUNCED?

Agree 100% with this, nica575 . He very obviously used every euphemism in the book to avoid the word 'album' for a long time; it's good that he needs more songs. As regards bullsfan 's point about 'trashing' earlier stuff. I can easily imagine that. When songs have been hanging around so long, trends move on and, more importantly, I feel sure that Adam's own artistic vision has developed over that time. He'll want to put out work that he loves now, not 18 months ago.....IMHO. 18 month? that would be mid 2016...He was excited about some music as recent as last summer (if not last fall), said repeatedly so...js no one knows for sure of course... Marionm - My point, perhaps badly made, was that I can well imagine that artists scrap initial work as a long project develops. I 'imagine' that Adam would want his CD to be as representative as possible of where he is in real time.

I think the EP idea was to get something out there faster, between QAL US and QAL EU.

As far as trashing old songs because he wrote them 18 months ago, remember.... he wrote for TOH fall of 2013, then Jan-March in Sweden in 2014. TOH didn’t release until June of 2015! Many Writers write constantly and produce a lot. I think there is always a lot written that never make an album. Production can make an old song as new as can be!

We do speculate a lot about what Adam is doing and maybe nothings changed and he's just working on his music when he can. After all he's been touring forever it seems so I'm not surprised things are taking longer than we would like. I want it all, NOW, but I can't have it and I'm getting use to it! lol

I don't think Adam infered or implied their is a "long way to go". Seems to me the new era is just around the corner. And by saying low cook. He is letting it simmer before he goes out on tour. It seems like he has no idea when the new music will be released, but certainly nothing before the next leg of the tour, and the "long way to go" is suggested by the "slow cooking" and "low heat" phrases. Personally, I think the words "slow" and "low" are giving people the wrong impression. If I am making soup, when I turn the stove down to low heat for slow cooking, all of the ingredients have been assembled and sauteed. The slow cooking part may take longer than the assembly and sauteing, but it is the last thing to be done. And the longer the slow cook, the better the soup! In one of the videos posted in the last couple of days, Adam says that he likes to play his own songs over and over again, in the car etc, to decide if he still likes them after hearing them so many time. I think this is part of the slow cooking process. And he may decide at any time during the slow cooking part that it needs another ingredient to make it just right. Or, that song is just not right and he needs to try something else.

What was the name of the book that Adam has referred to a few times....about being gay and the issues that he felt gay men had to deal with coming to terms with their sexuality...I think that was roughly how he put it but I could be way off. I thought 'velvet' was in the name but not sure I am not conflating 'the velvet goldmine' with this...anyone remember? anyone read it? what did you think?

DancyGeorgia after rereading the tweet I've come to a similar conclusion...
and yes SophieB sometimes work gets scratched put aside...picked up again after several years...each song has a different story...
