Best performances, too many to count. But I love going back to the personal ones, the acoustic ones, the ones where Adam can shine in a different way. At this At&T event, you can sense that there are many there who have not heard Adam sing. They are kindly applauding him at the start, listen to CLTCL and are surprised by the variations he throws in, but it is still just an audience listening to a performance. Then he does OOL, and you can sense how the audience reacts to this wonderful song. By the end of the song, he has that whole audience in the palm of his hand. They clearly express sadness when the whole thing is over after just four (and a half) songs, in total. It is Adam at his finest. www.youtube.com/watch?v=z56V2vPo63ABut today, I would also like to drop off a different video, different topic. Often, there is discussion about Adam's influence on the younger generation, given his limited presence on the pop chart, or so it seems. And given that someone earlier mentioned Adam's brilliant interpretation of My Conviction from the musical Hair, I thought I present you with a high school production of My Conviction, which is remarkable in more ways that one: a) This is Texas, the state where politicians overtake each other on the right, for example to propose bathroom restrictions and/or make the life of any LGBT youth miserable. Meanwhile, on the high school level, this not only happens, there are clearly teachers and administrators who don't think they need to clutch the pearls. b) Adam's performance and influence is all over this one. This teen has clearly heard Adam's version and copies it, and knows how to do it. It is quite remarkable. c) This kid can SING! And ACT! And has guts too. Wow. This performance is from 2012. Wonder where this guy is now. www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8_lqdiARBc

I find it impossible to come up with the “best “....usually (for me )the very last performance is “the best evah”... I too have a problem with "best ever", as I have to revise it frequently. However, the one performance that immediately comes to mind for me is DSMN/NYE London. That intro to their fantastic NYE gig was everything. Ah sizzling, that was my exact moment....

I don't know where to ask this. (I checked the Performance and Recap archive, but that seemed to be mostly an annual overview of shows.) I didn't see a list or a poll concerning "best live performances of [song xyz]." I was wondering if any of y'all, who have been to or seen videos of many shows both solo and QAL over the years, could point me to what you consider his best live performances of any of his songs and/or Queen songs? Or any covers he's done (outside of Idol or pre-Idol stuff)? For Queen songs, the only one I have right now is that the Isle of Wight performance of WWTLF is a standout. I don't know which of the others is considered his definitive version of it (and I realize that he could deliver the "best" one at any time in the future, as well). I don't know where to look for his own songs. The only other "standout" performances I've become aware of in my catching up on his career are his beautiful cover of Rihanna's "Stay" in Seoul and his cover of "Girl Crush" with Leona Lewis. I feel like there's so much that I'm missing, and there are so many videos of so many shows, that I don't know where to look for best performance/best audio/best atmosphere/etc of a song. Is there a place or a way to talk about favorites like that? Sorry for being off-topic! Two of my favourite live solo performances that show off the softer, tender side to his voice that I just love sfm. Outlaws of Love from the Snowfest is just gorgeous - love the tender way he sings this - the ending is just divine, and it's nice hearing it with the piano accompaniment as a change to the guitar. Stay/Underneath from Kanazawa WAG tour.... other versions of this song are more widely shared, but the tenderness and emotional range he conveys in this performance is the best of them IMO

That intro to their fantastic NYE gig was everything. Actually, that whole NYE show was a "best evah". I have it DLd in several formats....those professionally shot shows are the best...but Adam shined. It was almost like the Adam Lambert show in the way he was the focus thruout. There is definitely no better intro to a show....evah. That mischevious, flirty look in DSMN is just heaven. Yup. It was the perfect "appetizer" to seducing the masses. No wonder he was the most googled name after that bombastic NYE show.

For me, it happened in 2009 but I think it caught me all over again when he performed on that fateful night in London.
