I guess we missed this review as they forgot to add Adam in the tweet. Again with the P!nk cover. It seems they indeed know it better from P!nk then from Adam for some reason. Nobody here in Europe thought of it as a P!nk cover as far as I know. What's My Scene @wmscene #musicnews Review Scene: Queen, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne – 2nd March 2018 whatsmyscene.com/review-scene-queen-rod-laver-arena-melbourne-2nd-march-2018/ … #livemusic #reviews #whatsmyscene Review Scene: Queen, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne – 2nd March 2018 There’s nothing like seeing a classic rock band and finding out that they’re still at the top of their game. From the explosive opening of Hammer to Fall to We Are the Champions the band kept the audience in the palm of their (robot) hand the entire night. Roger Taylor & Brain May were joined onstage by Adam Lambert on vocals, Spike Edney – keyboards, vocals, Neil Fairclough – bass guitars, vocals and Tyler Warren – percussion, additional drums, vocals. The set featured the robot from the “News of the World” album (their 6th studio, album released in 1977). The robot, apparently named “Frank”, popped up throughout the night on the video screen and as an animatonic head rising from the stage, supporting Adam Lambert while he sang Fat Bottomed Girls. The stage very cleverly recreated the shape of May’s “Red Special” guitar – with the neck of the guitar forming a walkway out into the audience. May took to the end of the stage with an acoustic guitar to play Australia’s National Anthem, which turned out to be Highway to Hell. He then played Love of My Life, accompanied by the light of the audience’s phones (the only thing iPhones are good for, according to Brian). The end of the song brought out Freddie Mercury on the screen to finish it off, cleverly superimposed to look as if he were standing beside May at the end of the catwalk. It was an emotional moment. Vocally Brian May & Roger Taylor could carry the gig by themselves – Taylor in fact did sing a couple of songs – I’m in Love With My Car & Kind of Magic, but they really need a front man to be Queen. The great worry about the night was that Lambert was going to try to be Freddie. He brought up the “elephant in the room”. He was very open about the fact that he wasn’t Freddie and wasn’t trying to be. We were all there to pay tribute to Freddie through the music. Lambert achieved that admirably. May had his signature Vox AC30s – 9 of them. You’d be hard pressed to find that many anywhere in one place in Australia. The catalogue of songs that they ran through was just staggering. There were so many hits that it was hard to count. The inclusion of a P!nk cover (What Do You Want From Me), was a little mystifying (I’ve since found out that it was also recorded by Adam Lambert at some point). The audience really didn’t seem to know what to make of it. It was slightly disturbing to leave the venue to find a six foot rabbit playing We Are the Champions to a backing track, but the passers by seemed to enjoy it. Wow not very generous to Adam....

Nobody here in Europe thought of it as a P!nk cover as far as I know. The guy in the review doesn't seem to know anything about Adam. He looked at the setlist (possibly setlist.fm), and found out, that it is called a pink-cover there. I don't think, there is more to it. I don't think, he knew the song. Maybe some of the reviewers even have their information about that song from other reviews, since that was repeatedly mentioned in OZ and never before. As for WWFM in Europe: I think it was a really nice addition and worked well in the set. And it was always considered an Adam-song.

"Vocally Brian May & Roger Taylor could carry the gig by themselves" - any opinion from a person who believes this enough to put it in writing is null and void for me... as far as the "Pink cover" - isn't she from OZ? and apparently she has included WWFM on her "hits" album...I guess Pink is their local hero... tbh, I wish they would be playing something else, either GT or Running or even Lucy ... my dislike towards WWFM is getting worse as the years go by ...I so hope he'll get another hit so WWFM would fade...

No, Pink is not from OZ, but she is indeed very popular there and keeps selling out arenas, over and over. She is actually from Pennsylvania originally.
After hundreds of reviews that fully recognize Adam's contribution to all this, I am not going to get hung up on one that apparently does not get a lot of things, and clearly trusts popularity indices a lot more than his own ears.
In other news, this Daniel N. Guy is now leading. I presume that OUT is now ready to close the count. They will never drop Adam from the list, because they love the extra hits to their site that Glamberts give them, but I agree with others, at this point, they are waiting until Adam is beat and then close the count. Whatever....
That TV schedule above? What country and what station. is that American PBS?

Haha! This reviewer is so clueless it isn't even funny. He is bending over backwards in this review to NOT mention Adam any more than he has to. It's interesting that he says the band had the audience "in the palm of its hand." But then he says virtually nothing about the front man who vocally just about carries the whole show. This guy is trying very hard not to give Adam any sort of special praise. He obviously knows nothing about him or chooses (out of some Freddie loyalty?) to not mention Adam's stellar vocals and stage skills. He DID say that the audience loved it. Would it have killed him to mention the front man WHO BROUGHT THIS CLASSIC BAND BACK TO FILLING AREAS WORLDWIDE? This guy sounds way too smug. As to the Pink "cover," it's true that some people just don't know what a cover really is. And Pink HAS performed the song herself which confused the issue even more. Pink wrote the song and gave it to Adam, who recorded it and made it a hit for himself. That's NOT a cover. I am really liking the jazzed up WWFM. It's always felt so sleepy to me, but with genius Brian's treatment and the faster tempo, I'm liking it much more. A different Adam song would be even better, though. JMHO

Adam has had a few hits, WWFM, GT, IIHY. But WWFM got the most radio play, at least in the US. So if radio will play new music, when he releases, enough to be recognized then something else could take the place of WWFM. But I am grateful for any hits that Adam has because some don't have any. I think it may be important to him to let people know than he has accomplished something in his own right along with being the frontman for Queen.
