This gal is all for a bit of get down, dirty and go for it. GDML isn't my favourite song but I can get fully behind the sentiment. I have long suspected that Adam has a filthy side (shirt lift and writhing during Ring of Fire was a pretty good hint) to go with the joyful nice guy and it is fun to see him let it out now and then.

Glad you brought that up. I figured that one out a long time ago. It would take a LOT for Adam be too sexy for me. I love the overt sexuality he portrays some of his songs. And I love the floor crawl in GDML. He's sexy just sitting in a chair, too, but onstage I love him in all his erotic glory. (Of course, not ALL his songs are meant to be sung like GDML. I get it. But I want the sexy ones to be SEXY!) I love GDML and to me it is very sexy. Like everything else, fans see and enjoy different things in different ways. I don't normally analyze his presentations so closely to enjoy them. Like when Adam sings, I just love to hear his voice but there are times certain songs just blow me away. Don't know why (or care why) but sometimes I need to catch my breath. Some fans need an explanation or backup from others as to why it moved them so. GDML to me is great and hot as it is. But the times that he humps the floor on that song just brings an extra smile to my face, even tho his camp performances are my least favorite performances. I make an exception in that case, lol.

I totally get what you're saying phronni7 . For me too, Adam is the most sexy when he doesn't try too hard. Less is definitely more for me in terms of drawing me in. However, I understand that there are different artistic interpretations for a song like GDML. Hetero male point of view here GDML is not about being sexy. It is about (rough) SEX. It has a background projection of naked ladies in windows (very Amsterdam Red Light District IMHO), and just listen to those lyrics! The song literally calls for a certain acting interpretation. So when he sings that song without "getting down", I am totally disappointed and feel like he is half-assing the performance. kryptoman68 : Thank you for your perspective on GDML. In fact, I agree with you when you say that there are definite elements of the song that call for some real 'getting down' in its performance. If you will refer to my post, I note the fact that it is the floor humping that falls flat for me and why. At no point do I voice any objections to a really sexy performance. This is why I suggested viewers watch, in particular, the Boston performance [linked below]. Adam really ticks all the boxes on this one. I will leave your interpretation that the song being about 'rough sex' for anyone else, if any, to discuss with you.

Just in case a few dear Atopers felt I was criticizing them, I was really just sharing my personal opinion. Note that one of the lines in GDML is "You say it's enough, in fact it's too much", so even within that song's world there are at least two different points of view Peace!

Yup! Hetero female here and GDML to me really feels like sex, no subtlety there. “I give you meat”. Yeah, that’s the kind even I as a vegetarian gladly welcome. Also: definitely Red Light District. I walk there every day on my way to work and I could probably show you the house that inspired the background. And if all of that isn’t enough: what do you imagine the white stuff dripping down the video wall actually is? Lol. It doesn’t get more explicit than this song and I am happy Adam is really going for it on stage. This is a little edit I made when I found out they had included GDML in the set. Let me re-phrase.... "However, I get it that Adam is just honoring the lyrics of the song". He is good at that. The "prude" in me just has to learn to "handle" it Definitely a different kind of "love" as compared to "Love Kills". There is a kind of love for everyone . I am just so happy that Adam brings joy to so many different people.

Perhaps he means Adam Lambert the NASCAR driver.
