Well, at least he's got some music hopefully ready or nearly ready if he's having a private listening party. I'm hoping whatever he was writing and recording new yesterday was just more/extra/filler tracks. Fingers still crossed he debuts a new single on Idol. IDK if that's still the best place to debut a song since the ratings are down...but that's his "roots", etc. twitter.com/14gelly/status/982332731504910338

Just read the following in my morning paper. Once again, it's very frustrating because it's something that Adam should have been involved in. Bob Dylan, Kesha and some other artists made an album to honor the LGBTQ community. It's an album of six love songs called "Universal Love" that had the pronouns changed to change the gender in the song. I think it's a fine project and a good idea, but once again, Adam was not on the radar of the people behind this. If there was ever a logical choice of someone to include, it's Adam. After all, he was the first openly gay singer on a major label to debut an album at #1. That should be cred enough, IMO. I hope his new management can make a difference when it comes to opportunities like this. Kesha seems to get herself in there quite often, and she wasn't even in the music scene for a couple years due to her legal issues. She was accepted back as if she'd never been gone. Don't get me wrong. I think she's fine. But it's odd how all this works. Yeah it can be very frustrating. Kind of like my wish that Adam was in the lineup for Love Loud Fest at this summer, which is a music festival raising money for LGBTQ+ charities. Would make perfect sense for him to be there, QAL tour is done by July 28 and I would hope he would have new solo music ready to perform by then. But alas. I continue to have hope he's a TBA performer, it would be an incredible addition to the artists I'll already be seeing there. You're right. The Love Loud Fest would be perfect for him. He has GOT to get on the radar of the people who organize these things. He has spoken at LGBTQ events, etc. He's been vocal and visible. And one more thing pertaining to my post about the Universal Love album. Remember Adam singing "Fever" and making sure he sang" There SHE goes, my baby walks so slow..." ? There was some todo about him being careful NOT to use "he" instead of "she.' He may have said "he" once or twice but I don't remember it. Anyway, this new album addresses that EXACT SAME POINT: the importance of pronouns. Adam was ahead of his time in making the lyric thing a topic of discussion. One more reason why he would have been a perfect fit for that album. Hope is DOES that to perform at the Love Loud Fest. He SHOULD be on their radar, too. Maybe we could try a little "fan suggesting."

Can't wait to hear what he's come up with. It has to be new and different and exciting and radio- worthy and ear-wormy. Songs that come off well onstage for live concerts. I don't think I'm asking for too much. LOL

At least most of the time. I had that wrong in my mind.

No idea if they even have any plans to add more performers, but I definitely sent a couple tweets about Adam their way when the lineup was announced on Monday. The festival was founded by the lead singer of Imagine Dragons; I'd like to think he's at least HEARD of Adam's name before.

There is also this from Wiki searching Mondino
Jean-Baptiste Mondino Jean-Baptiste Mondino (born Aubervilliers, France on July 21, 1949) is a French fashion photographer[1] and music video director. He has directed music videos for Madonna, David Bowie, Sting, Björk, Jaye Muller aka J., Neneh Cherry and Les Rita Mitsouko.[2] Mondino has also photographed the covers and album packaging for the Marianne Faithfull albums Before The Poison (2005) and Easy Come, Easy Go (2008), Shakespear's Sister's Hormonally Yours (1992), Alain Bashung's Osez Joséphine (1991), Chatterton (1994) and Prince's Lovesexy (1988).
The video for Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer", which Mondino directed,[3] swept the MTV Video Music Awards in 1985, winning "Best Video", "Best Direction", "Best Art Direction" and "Best Cinematography". This video paired him with compatriot cinematographer, Pascal Lebègue, with whom he would later shoot several other notable music videos in black and white, such as "Russians" for Sting and "Justify My Love" for Madonna.
