lynneville: On @americanidol last night, contestants sang Feeling Good, Baracuda, and Stay, so, of course, I am now listening to @adamlambert 's versions.

Alisan has been in FL at a resort doing shows there for a week. I think she is just homesick. During The Voice, she had a supportive husband. Have no idea what happened to cause the somewhat sudden divorce, but it does not appear to have been a “friendly” split. He seems to be out of the picture. He wasn’t even one of the people she thanked for watching the kids this past week. She is making more money & doing more concerts than before The Voice, so i think it served her well. She has the upcoming Voice show in Vegas too. Like I said, I think being w/o her kids for a week was hard on her! ❤️ Thanks!! Good to know I was misunderstanding her post.

I'm watching Idol...but I see ratings are down 9% from last week. Hope ratings stabilize so a good amount of folks will see Adam.....IF he's on this season. Because of the ACM awards. Understandable, IMO! Strong rumor it is being renewed.

I think Beyonce performance was also intended to highlight the fact that here we are in 2018 and she was the FIRST BLACK WOMAN HEADLINER at Coachella. Like she said "ain't that bout a bitch" from the top of the stairs. Also I don't think many non-black people understood the significance of the words being spoken as she approached. The Black woman is the most abused, neglected, etc., (I don't know the exact poem?), but this was a historical moment and so very important to Beyonce to represent strength and self-belief. So for those who criticized having dancers and coming Hard and Big, this was a very important, significant occasion and a celebration of being FIRST. Instead think maybe why are we still having firsts in 2018?

This make me cry.. I just love this man The audience was enthralled and I would be too if he sang this gorgeous song to me at least once That song is one I go back to a lot to replay. His vocals are so perfect & he just seems so happy & I love Roger's face in the back looking thrilled as well. The audience LOOOOOOVVVVED him they truly did & I know it had to have felt great for them to be giving them that song. I don't think they ever sang it during the US tour. I was hoping they would have though.

I know that Alisan had a family (husband/children) before taking the step to go on The Voice. But I wonder what her expectations were. To take that step at that time in her life means she really wanted to follow her dreams. None of The Voice winners have achieved financial or commercial success on the levels of Kelly, Carrie, Adam, Jhud, Daughtry, Kat, Fantasia. Or even the earlier success of Ruben, Jordin, Clay, Cook, P2 etc. I wonder if she thought it would be different for her or is this the level of achievement (Neon Lights) that she expected. I wonder if Broadway/tv/movies would be an avenue for her or if she would even want that? Kat and Jhud have had some success on Broadway and in tv and movies. It may be a little late to launch a successful recording/touring career. I wish her well but she sounds pretty down, unless I am misreading her post. Alisan has been on Broadway. I saw her in A Chorus Line in 2007, she played Bebe. Her mom was also Bebe. (In this video you can see Adam in Ten Commandments in the background)
