ADA VOX got a big stand up and clap from me. Are we ready for this winner? I know I am.

Wonder if Terrence and company or even Adam will go back. I kinda doubt it. Seems kinda strange to headline again after all the hype the first time. Guess since you have all the staging and singers and dancers and costumes...might as well do it again and extend the praise. I'm not a Beyonce fan....don't care about her one way or the other. $100,000 to her would be like a $10 donation by me. Not a big Beyoncé fan either tho she is very talented and puts on a fantastic show. But sometimes the worship just seems overdone. When Adele won the main Grammy's against her last album there was so much fuss made about it. Beyoncé won, I think 3, but not the main one so the complaints poured in. But her album went platinum while Adele's was 11X platinum so why were people acting as if Adele had no business winning? And to see Adele groveling as if she were not deserving was really off putting. Then there was the But Beyoncé's album made a statement. But obviously Adele's made a bigger statement to more people. Not surprised that Adam loves her tho as he loved Gaga and Madonna. Doesn't mean we all have to love them to that degree because someone or others do. I really like Rihanna but understand that many don't. What I would give to hear Adam sing her "Love on the Brain." I think it would do me in so maybe not, lol. If he were to write/record/release something with that kind of emotional punch I would not be mad at him tho. I tend to agree with much of what you say Lureen....But Adam has had a few really emotional releases...they were just never released as singles and had a radio push. Soaked was very emotional and I think the arrangement may have held it back a little but it was awesome. Underneath is as emotional as it gets...but very gay lyric that would turn many off...even though it was 'small' it was potent "you inside of me"....There I said it....another emotional one. With the right tweaking and push, imho any of those had great potential....

I think they could have done well too, if someone other than fans heard them. And the lyric in Underneath was more emotional than sexual, imo. But because of Adam's sexuality some would automatically go there. I wish that would stop but I know it will not. The song was written by a country male writer with some input from Adam. Shady was not emotional but one of my favorites. It reminded me of when I was in college and we were hitting the clubs hard and looking for cute guys or they were looking for us. But everyone said it was about gay hookups so no radio play would be possible. From Adam's point it may have been but it was written in a universal way that others could relate to if given a chance. I don't know. When I listen to songs written and performed by AA artists I don't generally think it is written for and about AA relationships only, unless it says as much. I wish artists like Adam could also be given the room to write/record and draw everyone in. Sometimes he is making a statement for or about his community but other times I think he wants everyone to relate to his music by drawing from their own experiences and emotions. It still bothers me the way some would not play FYE, even before the AMA's. They need to stop putting artists in boxes and trying to leave them there with the lids on tight.

The potential was there though. There I Said It... the "grown ass man" doesn't work for me in this song.

I think Idol is loaded with incredible talent as well as unique personalities, and Ada Vox is an absolute standout!!!! I am blown away by her voice as well as how she conducts herself as Ada vs Adam. We have come far, America, and I like to believe that our Adam helped pave the way for some of the LGBTQ artists. Jurnee is another contestant to keep an eye on, I think, but I don't want to pick favorites yet.
I like the new format btw. and I think Katy Perry is doing a really good job - she is engaging and fun, but at the same time spot on with her critique. She comes across to me as genuine and I have found mad respect for her. A good trio overall.

Woah!!! I've done it! I bought myself a ticket to Lisbon!!
I dreamed about this for a long time, but never thought it would be possible.
Now I do have a standing ticket for Cologne to sell though, I can't do both shows. Anybody interested? I know for certain that there will be really cool people there 😄

I would love to do it myself! You will have a blast, I'm sure. I am hoping to be able to go to Las Vegas with a Glambert friend this fall when QAL performs there. I hope they confirm it for sure very soon!
