At the risk of continuing the conversation from yesterday, with all the tv promotion and the build series covering a lot of ground, I wonder why Adam chose NY and a tv appearance to not look like the star he is? Even that magazine photo shoot was not his best, imo. I know he is going in a new direction with his music but his fashion sense has, for the most part, been so appealing and part of what makes him stand out from the rest.
Seems there will be no Idol appearance this year for Adam. Still wonder why Nick Jonas got a spot. No connections to Idol nor was he promoting anything. Adam does not have anything to promote either but he has mentored and judged before and he is a former Idol with big connections to the show. The Voice is getting Kelly and Jhud to coach again next season. I seems Idol is reluctant to use any of their talent except Carrie I guess. They haven't even done any clips of successful idols like in the past, except the one in the beginning with Carrie. Something tells me that if Kelly and Jhud had not jumped to TV, they would have used them somehow but of course I could be wrong.

It is more current, IMO, to what young guys are wearing. But pointy shoes with baggy pants throw it off for me. Like I said yesterday, Creepers would have been perfect. Also, I think the pants might be burgundy, not brown. All his appearances were daytime/morning. I think his casual look worked. HUGE connection! His manager is an Idol Executive producer. Same manager as Adam, which in my mind says, "if Adam wanted to be on Idol this season, he would have been!" We still have no idea who is on the Finale either.

For all we know, QAL will perform on the Idol finale to promote the Vegas shows. Who knows? It is odd that Adam's name has not come up at all in the Idol promos. There are only a few episodes left. I keep thinking he'll be on, but the longer it goes with no mention of him, the more I think it might not happen. VERY STRANGE! He is one of their biggest success stories. I just don't get it.

Adam sent me on another musical journey, revisiting Melissa Etheridge.
"In October 2004, Etheridge was diagnosed with breast cancer, and underwent surgery and chemotherapy. At the 2005 Grammy Awards, she made a return to the stage and, although bald from chemotherapy, performed a tribute to Janis Joplin with the song "Piece of My Heart"." Wikipedia
I think this rendition embodies all the fight, all the pain, all the fear, all the hope she experienced through that journey. So powerful to me.
And thanks to those re-posting Adam and Melissa's performance here, I watch it every time you post it, sometimes more than once. I enjoy their enjoyment so much.

You guys just make me chuckle. Sometimes Adam is 7 years old. Each piece is beautiful, in fact, outstanding. Just put together, they were a little "more" than fashion forward. So the orange in the shirt and the maroon slacks tested color sensitive folks.. The maroon flowing leg slacks argued with the tight lines and style and color of the shirt. The white boots were elegant but added another flavor. Each piece gorgeous, but a "pot pie" together.
So he was a happy "kid" and got to wear "all" his new clothes.

Piece of My Heart is my absolute favorite Janis Joplin song. Always has been. I LOVE IT! And Melissa does it proud. Adam would do it proud, too, IMO!
