Idol just did an ad and their guests for the finale (not sure if Sunday or Monday) are Nick Jonas (again wtf) Bebe Rexha (she's everywhere) and Kermit the Frog. Also looks like Katy, Lionel and Luke may also perform. Geez Oh, here are the others. WTF....at their choices. Well, I don't know who Bebe Rexha is, even if she's everywhere. On this list, I know the three judges, and Nick (but not Mustard) and Patti LaBelle and Kermit. The others I don't know. But they must be really famous or they wouldn't be there. It's a pretty strange mix, IMO. (Was Carrie the only AI alum to be this season?) I'd love to see Adam, but if he's not on, I will not be devastated. I am not a country music fan AT ALL, but I predict one of the country singers will likely win. For all of you who watch the show, enjoy! I am not watching Idol this season but I hope there is more planned than this. Bebe Rexha is the hot country female singer right now. Probably really popular with the Idol audience. Darius Rucker is really famous -- he used to be in Hootie & the Blowfish. He is now a major country artist. Gary Clark Junior is great but certainly not a star or really current -- except in the blues world. I am a big fan. Perhaps there is a bluesy Idol? Nick Jonas and DJ Mustard are there to promote there new single. It is EDM so not sure it will be a duet. www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop/8455436/nick-jonas-teases-anywhere-dj-mustard-instagramYolanda Adams is a gospel singer -- and way more stuff -- she might be the biggest star in gospel. So I guess there is a gospel Idol? Very heavy on the country and blues-gospel artists. Where are the Pop singers? All they have is Katy Perry.

Saw her perform with Steve Aoki at Linkin Park’s Celebrate Life tribute show last year. youtu.be/vWnCjvPFRqY

Crappiest Idol Finale line up ever. Hope there are some surprises, like QAL! All we have to do is watch Dr. May's IG. If he doesn't leave London by Friday, then no QAL. As Q3 said above, they have lots to promo here. The Finale is perfect timing! Adam's manager is Executive Producer in charge of Music on Idol. I think he could get any of his artists on the Finale, if they wanted to be there & he thought it was a good idea.

I often wonder how some singers get kind of popular when they don't sing all that well. But then, as Adam said, "It's not about the voice." She's pretty underwhelming, but apparently lots of people like her. Good for them and for her. Nick makes sense because he's promoting a new song. It's certainly an odd mix of finale performers.

Which is country and her big breakthrough hit.

Adam's year for the group number with a guest musician they had Santana. The group number this year is with Kermit the Frog!lol Adam's year guest duets were with a variety of different music style musicians with like Cyndi Lauper, Kiss, and Queen. This year I really don't know the artists. If Adam was going to be on I would watch but I really am not interested in the finale if he isn't going to be there.

Alot of commerical success in contemporary top 40. Is not dependant mostly on your talent or voice. IF you have a hook, then you have an audience. Adams built his career on that voice. It has made him rich LOL. But its uncommon really. I Do notice a lack of artistry in music atm. But the industry is a young persons game. OF course their are a ton of older artists ova 30 on the radio. SO I think it really comes down to the music.

It's certainly an odd mix of finale performers. Bebe's big hit came with the collaboration of Florida Georgia Line. Both of those guys are over 30 but they are one of the biggest acts in country music with crossover appeal because of earlier collaborations with rap artists. They play arenas. I doubt that country/pop song would have blown up for Bebe on top 40 and country without them. But it probably sets her up to do well on her own. FGL have won a lot of awards. They were honored that same night on CMT when Adam and Leona sang Girl Crush for Little Big Town.
