The other day there was discussion about the focus of the upcoming movie. Was it "het-washing" Freddie's life? Why did it stop at LIve Aid and not talk about his later struggles with AIDS? I have thought that Brian and Roger wanted the movie to be about the growth of a phenomenal musician and band, NOT the life of a wild, promiscuous, gay man who died of AIDS. Just like Adam does not like to be defined as "GAY singer Adam Lambert". In the end, it is about the performance, the creation, the life's work. I just ran across an interview Brian and Roger did a week after Freddie died. They agreed to the interview because they were angry at how Freddie was being depicted in the media and all the rumors and gossip and "fake news" that was splashed across headlines. They wanted to defend Freddie and his art. Not denying he was gay. Not denying he had AIDS. But talking about the whole person, not the sensationalism. Seems like that is still their focus with the movie. youtu.be/q-YirPyS47Ithanks for the vid, I followed up and watched a few others. Probably set them in stone of what type of movie script they would accept and why it took so long to find one, as well as why they got rid of Boris.

The company owned by the guy in the red sweater, Lucas Keller, sponsored the brunch and is described below. ( this entertainment business is so darn complicated ) Are they sourcing clients? Is this a management company or a consulting company, or a companion to a management company? What I'm seeing is that they manage producers and writers, not necessarily artists except international EDM type. And that they are very focused on Global and getting music into movies and tV. They host writers camps - anyone remember who hosted the writer camp Adam went to? Nick Jonas and Demi are high on their list - ie their producers/writers involved in their top songs. I'd say it's a good hookup and just an extension. Do we have other artists identified from the lunch? Ferras and Justin Tratner, Sivan, "ilsey" were names/ faces I recognized. I thought they were song writer types in attendance...and, as per the last part of the synopsis of the company...assisting in securing the most money they can for clients. I guess I would have thought Adam's management would assist with such things, but it seems like bringing in a specialist, having the artists/ writers working as a unified group?? Not just sure, but interesting all these companies that are in this industry that become expenses to the artists, to help them make as much as possible through production, securing income/ annuity, by getting their songs into tv/ media/ movies/ advertisements etc etc.

While the company might be part of it I don't think it was focused anywhere. Not all writers, there was an editor from Time, and another online gay news site.

I agree. Kelly was the first Idol & the reason talent shows all over the world were taken a bit more seriously by the industry after her successful career. Her songs were constantly played on the radio even in little countries like mine . I'd watch Billboard Awards too over Idol cause the only one left whom I'm rooting for is Gabby since this Idol top 3 ended up being the standard WGWG, although I didn't like Gabby doing country at all. She tried to imitate Carrie too much. I think The Voice (although it never produced stars) has a talented bunch this season and last season too. Adam was paying her a public compliment. And much deserved. He's so good at paying compliments. Hope he gets more of them in return.

I imagine that companies like this can help artists get their music out there in various ways. And it sounds like some big names have been associated with this one. On one hand, if they can help you, that's a good thing. But on the other hand, they can just become one more "service" to pay for. With all the writers and producers and PR people and assistants, etc., a singer has a LOT of overhead. Lots of people to pay. It's a multi-layered financial cake.
