Hello! I have not posted for a long long time. I've been a fan of Adam since 2009. I've posted in this forum in the early days after Planet Fierce, but have opted to stay silent and just lurk these last few years. It has been super long time since my last post that i have to register again. I decided to de-lurk because i want to tell you guys that a lot of people go to this site to check what's happening in Adam's life. Like me, they might not be posting anything but they do read everything. This forum is important to a lot of people, including me. For all of you who are posting, please continue to do so. If the discussion gets intense, don't leave, just scroll or lurk. Hi! Thanks for your post.
I just wanted to add that this goes for me too: I often come here to check on news regarding Adam Lambert's career. I mean, there is no other place quite like this - everything is sort of in one place, so I don't need to do extensive searches on the Internet... It's very convenient to come here, and I always feel like, as soon as something happens it's going to be posted and discussed here pretty much immediately. I don't post that often, but I really do appreciate everyone else who does. Like phlambert2009 said - This forum is important to a lot of people... I think most people who read it are quiet members who don't post often, but who are interested in Adam Lambert's career, his music and all the other stuff he has happening. Like, for example, while I was in China and two of his collaborations came out - with Steve Aoki and then with Tritonal, I first found out about those songs here and so then I went out to find the songs on a Chinese streaming site. There are many other examples of how and why people use this forum.
I usually don't pay too much attention if people discuss some insignificant details like what shirt Adam chose to wear for an interview, or whatever. I mean, I wouldn't post about something like that, cause I don't really care what he wears and stuff like that, but I hope nobody takes such posts too seriously. Just scroll on. This forum is wonderful and I truly am thankful that it exists.
ditto for me too. This is my go-to place. I check here at least once a week although I don't always register in. I appreciate all of the hard work that goes in to keeping it updated and fresh. We are all here for Adam.

So sorry to hear about Party's leaving ATOP. On a happy note, I received my tickets from Ticket master for QAL! Odd that I could print my Saturday tickets but had to pay for Friday delivery. Looking forward to seeing some of you again. I got my mailed tickets today too! I thought I was getting a printable one for a second show...but it's mobile it appears. I think I'm gonna pay $7 and have that one mailed to me as well since we have plenty of time. I'm not quite techie enough to want to rely on a phone app.

I love her character on Billions. I wonder where she met Adam - GLAAD?

On twitter Adam (and Shoshanna) were slammed yesterday evening, because Adam wasn’t at the Billboard Awards Show himself (when he posted the vids watching the show happily from home). THAT is bad. And I’m thankful, nobody brought that over or starts these kinds of discussion here. You made a lot of good points in your post, but this illustrates something important, IMO. When people post here, they are talking amongst themselves, not to Adam. That doesn't mean people should feel free to be disrespectful, but it's not the same as going directly to Adam on social media and belittling/criticizing/mocking him because he isn't living up to their expectations. Atop is not meant to be a venue to communicate with Adam, it's meant to be a venue to communicate about him. If Adam does read here, he's eavesdropping, in a way. That isn't to say he's doing something wrong - just that he's deliberately looking in on conversations he knows aren't intended for him, and presumably he's doing that because he wants to know what people are thinking. As long as said communication is respectful, which IMO it pretty much always is, I don't see any problem if he sees conversations about things that make some people frustrated, annoyed, apprehensive, or even just somewhat unimpressed. If he sees suggestions about things he could do differently. If he sees people answering the almost decade-old question "Whadaya Want From Me?" He's free to take action or not, but knowledge is power. This is the guy who went online during Idol even when he was advised not to, and I'm sure some of the things he saw curled his hair so badly the flat iron could barely do its job. We know he continues to lurk on social media. I sincerely doubt any well-intended criticism he may see here will faze him.

I don't see why ppl on Twitter would Slam Adam or his Shoshanna for not being at the BBMA anyway. Why would he? He has no music out right now. And he was not invited, or he was not scheduled to be their. So people "Slamming him. Seems kinda odd. Like its his fault. His management are the ones who get him onto these shows. But this was not the award show to get Adam on at this stage.

And just to make it clear: The reason for me being glad, that these „discussions“ on twitter didn’t make their way into this forum, wasn‘t, that I feared, that Adam might read it. I was happy, because that way, I didn’t have to read it (I found it out today through a friend). 😉

That’s what I meant, when I said , this forum is friendly and positive.
